LMU audio popping and stuttering on Windows 10/11, nothing fixes it!

Hello! I have an issue that has been driving me crazy for a long time and I still can’t find a solution.

I get random audio pops, stutters, crackles and glitch effects, especially noticeable on curbs.

My PC specs:

  • MSI PRO B650-S WIFI
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • RTX 5090
  • Windows 10/11 tested

Things I already tried:

  • Installed latest drivers from MSI/manufacturers
  • Updated BIOS to latest version
  • Updated Realtek audio drivers and also tested older versions
  • Reinstalled Windows multiple times (Windows 10 and 11)
  • Tested different headphones:
    • wired
    • Bluetooth
    • 2.4GHz wireless
  • Tried all sample rates from 44100 Hz to 192000 Hz
  • Enabled/disabled audio enhancements
  • Tried different Windows power plans
  • Set CPU minimum state to 100%
  • Changed NVIDIA settings including Ultra Low Latency
  • Used DDU to completely reinstall NVIDIA drivers
  • Tried older NVIDIA drivers too

LatencyMon is usually mostly fine while gaming, but sometimes I still get warnings related to NVIDIA drivers, mostly points to:

  • nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA driver)

Here is a video of the issue (you can hear the pops/glitches on the audio peaks):

Has anyone experienced something similar on AM5/RTX systems or found a fix?
