Has anyone frozen milk? If so was it ok??

I have an unopened 2 pint whole milk in plastic bottle, use by date 22 August.  I was thinking of freezing rather than pouring down the sink as I’ll be away for a few days.

Has anyone done this? If you have, I have a few questions

  1. I’m wondering if it is worth it or is it ‘odd’ when you defrost it
  2. Once defrosted, can I use as I normally would for example, porridge, smoothies, tea or in cereal
  3. Once defrosted how quickly do I have to use it up.

I’m hoping that some people here might be from the UK and can let me know what support/treatment they were able to get.  I don’t think I suffer terribly as a lot of people do but I am struggling.  Fatigue, night sweats, horrible anxiety, poor motivation and drive. And oh my goodness sometimes my anger or frustrations over silly things.   Poor sleep/insomnia, this is not new but worse.

For example any little thing can make me want to re-treat to my bed.  Asked what should we have to dinner, I didn’t have an answer.  Became so stressed, anxiety took off and wanted to go back to bed.  All I had to do was come up with an idea, nothing fancy or say don’t know.  I didn’t have to cook it but you know peri brain made feel like I was going through something traumatic.  At work, someone sends an email request something a bit involved but still manageable, want to go back to bed.  I’ve lost a lot of confidence, happy to stay in the house and watch repeats of tv shows.  I’m on the combined pill, I shouldn’t get periods however still do sometimes, the bleeding can last for weeks and more painful.

Are these the kind of things I can get help with? Can blood test do anything?

My life should be generally stress free, have a good partner, no children, a nice job that has pressure points but mostly stress free.  This makes me think it is all peri symptoms.  I’m 46.

I’m not very good at asking or advocate for myself, especially for things I don’t understand.  I tried about 1-2 years ago, spoke to nurse on phone at my GP and was told ‘it’s common for women of my age to experience this’ no offer to help or suggestions. Basically told just get on with it.  My argument was that I’m not saying I’m unique, I’m asking for help…  Maybe I do just need to get on with it but worried this is now my ‘new normal’  So, so lost with it all that I just bury ma heid!
