U2 Macro Issue...

Hi - and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I just got a U2 remote and I set up my Samsung TV, Sony AV Receiver, Sony Blueray DVD Player and Roku. All work as expected.

I want to have a button dedicated to turning on the TV and AVR together - the Roku is always on.

I tried creating a macro under the TV Power button at the top, but no dice. Then, I tried creating a test device that I could rename and move to the top of the list that will essentially trigger the TV and AVR power button. If successful, I could just choose that renamed device, press the power button and both devices will respond.

When I try this, the TV works perfectly, but I just can't get the AVR to respond, even though I have it programmed properly in the macro.

Is there a different way to accomplish this seemingly simple task? Is there something I can do to make that macro work for the AVR?

Again, TIA!

I've got a 10th Gen Yoga Pro and I run local LLM's in LM Studio. Knowing that this machine can run hot and spikes even hotter, I unplug it when running LM Studio, and it conveniently nerfs the machine and it runs under 160F. But of course, it runs slow.

So I just got an IETS GT600 cooling pad and it's quite impressive. It lowers CPU temps 20-40F.

Now I notice that the new cooler environment allows the CPU to run at over utilization under stressful loads - up to 130% - and the laptop becomes unresponsive for 5-10 seconds at a time.

What is the best way to cap utilization to keep the CPU from becoming unresponsive on this particular machine?

My Yoga Pro 9i runs hot and I wanted to re-paste to see if I could lower temps. The Lenovo maintenance webpage calls for TPM7958 (I've got TMP7950) for the CPU and GPU, and TC7004 for the smaller neighboring components.

I've read a number of articles and have viewed a number of YouTube videos on the subject and I don't recall any of them mentioning replacing TC7004 on those smaller components.

Do you folks recommend replacing the TC7004? Not sure where I can find it in small quantiles.

Please advise. Thanks!
