My friend gave me a plug for carts and said she asked him if she could give me his number and he said that was fine but like I’ve never actually picked up before and idk how to not come across insane. Is this fine for like a first text ‘Hi this is ___me___. __my friends name___sent me your number I hope that’s okay.’

What else do I say beyond that? Am I supposed to say outright can I get some carts in the first text. I don’t wanna sound like I’m helpless. Pls don’t troll me in the comments I beg
