Due to complete but haven’t exchanged

I was suppose to exchange on Monday and complete tomorrow (Friday) but there was an issue with the forward purchase, something about their sellers wanting to see evidence that funds will be released. My solicitor said this isn’t uncommon but it is now the day before supposed completion and we still haven’t exchanged.

I know it’s not ideal but has anyone else been in this position and it resolved itself? Everything is ready on my end to go. Has anyone exchanged and completed on the same day and it worked out for them?

Escalation of pain

Device - braun 5 ipl

I have been using it since Jan, the majority of the hair has gone now. When I first started using it there was 0 pain but the last 3 sessions have been so painful.

I always shave before use, even though there’s nothing really to shave. I haven’t changed my routine or the strength. I haven’t been in the sun, got a tan, used any harsh chemicals or anything else that normally affects the skin. It’s not the shaving irritating my skin.

I’m not over doing it because some areas I do fortnightly/monthly but my god the stinging and burning

Has anybody else had this where the pain gets worse the longer you go?! I thought it would be the other way around. All I can think is there’s less follicle to absorb the light so it’s going into the skin more?

S6 Ramona and Sonjas alliances

After all of their fights and arguments (no matter how dumb) with Aviva in S5, why do you think they came into season 6 on Avivas side and so against Carole and Heather?

They make a lot of sly digs about Carole from the start but they never had issues with her previously.

All I can think is that they saw how well received she was by the audience and they didn’t like it and wanted her out? I don’t think Carole was particularly cruel to either of them in her confessionals in the previous season so unsure why they seemed to want to stir things and go against her.

My other theory is they were shook by luanns demotion and saw this as a way to create drama but even that doesn’t make sense to me as they could have had another season arguing with aviva who they had more chance going against than Carole and Heather.

Interested to hear others opinions on why the sudden loyalty shift

Exchange of keys

I’m due to get the keys to my first house next week. The seller have said they need until 4 to move out so I will get the keys after 4 by the time they get to the estate agent.

That feels a bit late to me? What time did you get the keys? I thought it would be more around 12 - 1 so I also had time to get things moving.

They aren’t moving far so it’s not like they have to do miles of trips there and back.

I’m about to take out a mortgage with TSB. I’ve read the T&Cs and leaflet but I’m still a bit confused.

It says unless you tell us how you want the overpayment applied it will equally be taken off both parts of the mortgage, I’ve taken this to mean the fixed rate part and the future variable part assuming I wouldn’t fix again. If I’m right, this will lower the payments and not the term?

How would you tell them how you want it to be allocated? I’m never going to go on to the variable rate so I assume it won’t make sense to be paying that bit of it off?

I’m planning on allocating it to lower the term so would that be just allocating to the current rate? Also, if you do it so it doesn’t come off the term but just lowers future payments, when it comes to renew, could you just amend the term them and take advantage of the lower payments so you would effectively be paying the same monthly as you were at the start?

Hope that makes sense!!
