Specialized App is SHIT

I have a new S-Works Levo 4. The bike is absolutely fantastic in every way, I love it! What I cannot seem to figure out is how in the world to make the Specialized app consistently track/record rides.

I open the app, hit record - it’s connected to the bike. It will sometimes record time, but no distance. But most of the time it just stays stuck on “auto pause” so I tried turning auto pause off. Then it recorded time with no distance.

I deleted the app, reinstalled and setup. Connected. Thought it was working today as I pedaled around the lot before taking off on the trail, it recorded .10 miles but as soon as I locked my phone and put it in my hip pack, it stopped recorded distance. But it did record the time. Doesn’t make sense to me and it’s getting quite annoying.

It has successfully recorded 4-5 rides fine, but 80% of the time it’s not. I don’t understand why it’s not. Locations access is set to always allow.

Has anyone else experienced this? What’s the fix? Is there something that needs to be turned on within the bike’s interface?

Levo 4 S-Works to Levo 4 EVO Conversion 🤷🏼‍♂️

Has anyone else done this conversion on their Levo 4 and can provide some real-world feedback? and what am I missing here?

LOVE this Levo 4 S-Works frame, the power unit, and the overall look. I dropped into my local shop ready to slap down the cash and pick this baby up... BUT, I couldn't do it without at least comparing against the new Levo 4 EVO. Rode the Levo 4 EVO and I Looooove the way that it feels and rides.

Same Battery: 840wh
Same Motor, though the S-Works is pushing out 6 additional nm of torque
The electronic dropper on Levo S-Works model seems nice vs standard on the Evo
The S-Works model also comes with smart charger ($600)

Main differences are how slack the EVO is compared to the Levo 4, and of course, the suspension - 150/160 on Levo 4 and 170/180 on Levo EVO.

My main MTB is a 23' S-Works Enduro and I absolutely love it, it rips hard and climbs well. So, the Levo EVO just felt more natural to me and better overall feel, more stable and really like what I would enjoy riding more than the standard Levo 4.

Levo 4 EVO only comes in Pro, no S-Works model available 😪 but it's $1k cheaper than the S-Works Levo 4. Done deal, right?

But I love this Levo 4 S-Works frame and the color... So I've been toying with the idea of buying the Levo 4 S-Works and doing a Levo EVO conversion to make it more slack and go to the 170/180 suspension. That includes a rear suspension link swap, swapping the rear shock out (additional purchase) and modifying the front fork to go to 180mm. The whole conversion cost, $1500-$2k?

I know, this seems dumb to spend all the extra loot to have the frame... but whatever, I've burned money on dumber things! 🤦🏼‍♂️
