I've seen that the function of backpacks is being debated, and that so far their only function is aesthetic. This raises the following question for me: will the items appear on the characters' backs, like in Project Zomboid for example? Or will they remain invisible?
First of all, I'd like to apologize to everyone for my pessimistic comments in the community, and I recognize that the timing wasn't ideal. I heard that now smaller caliber weapons don't eliminate with a headshot, something I particularly wanted to see and which was one of my criticisms of the last two games. This makes everything more realistic. It never made sense in previous games that a .22 shot caused the same damage as a 5.56/7.62 shot, for example. This really makes things more immersive and realistic, a small detail that I quite liked.
If UL made an early access and the fans donated for the company to be independent I think we would be able to save the company and the franchise
First they released that 2020 trailer (that wasn't from UL) and now they want to close the studio, if the general public has a bad view of Sod 3, it's exclusively due to that trailer made by Microsoft. They screw up the game and after that they want to close the UL because they do. This is A LOT OF DISHONESTY, they bought several studios from several companies, and now they are going to close everything. EA, Microsoft are a machine to destroy games
We haven't seen anything about hostile enclaves yet, which worries me a bit, because I love hostile enclaves and, in my opinion, that was THE BEST ADDITION TO SOD 2 compared to 1. Please bring back the hostile enclaves and explore them further; the immersion they provide is incredible and we love the hostiles.
In my community, I added mods to increase the hostile enclaves to 12 members, if I'm not mistaken, so I would gather my entire community (unlimited followers mod) and we would all go to war in the Lethal Zone with 3 times more zombies, hahaha. It's very, VERY FUN, of course in each war 3 or 4 people died, but it was cool :)
There's one thing I've always missed in State of Decay: the ability to use the weapon's sights—not in the way it's in the game, but by opening the scope and seeing its reticle. In the game, the sights only serve for a generic zoom and seem to be on the weapon with a purely aesthetic and decorative function. It would be really cool to have an ADS (Aim Down Sights) system in State of Decay 3.
Furthermore, for an Alpha version of the game, it's good. I liked what I saw; I'd give it a 7/10. I noticed a lot of progress compared to State of Decay 2. The studio deserves praise; it's an Alpha, so many things will certainly be improved and added.
They could somehow bring back the original characters in Sod 3. Yes, I know it will seem like we want to go back in time all the time, but these are the characters that marked the fans; we like them. It would be interesting after beating the game (if it has a campaign) to be able to survive freely and from there have access to the characters from Sod 1, including the Lifeline DLC.
I keep wondering what happened to the survivors of Lifeline? We know Sasquatch is alive, but what about Alicia Hawkes, Kilo, and Vince?
I noticed gas leaks in the trailer. Will each pest infestation be unique? For example, this one has a gas leak, while others might have fires. This would be interesting.
I believe the Red Talon will somehow be present in the game. Notice that the weapons have their symbol; I believe it will be an enemy or an ally (depending on the player's choice) OR we will somehow have unique weapons/modifications. If there's a Red Talom, we'll definitely have The Network.
In State of Decay 1, there's something I particularly like: the unique characteristics of each survivor, which grant them special abilities. It would be really cool to have that back in State of Decay 3. It was great because it gave each character something more unique and profound, like different fighting moves, for example.
