With some rules for 11th revealed, have these rarely used models become more viable?

Greetings Overlords and Crypteks,

I'm wondering with the reveals for 11th, if some units that are hardly ever seen would become more viable without datasheet or points updates:

* Geomancer: with the update to deepstrike and ingress moving to 8 inches instead of 9, does this increase the value of the no reserves bubble of 12 inch at all? Likewise does the pinned ability offer more a significant debuff now that charges and engagement has changed?

Edit: ignore the deepstrike portion of this, as people have pointed out, it's still a 9 inch charge. I forgot they have to go base to base.

* Macrocytes: are these guys now worth something more at all? I cannot find any value outside of maybe paring them up with Spyders so the claws hit on 3s.. but I can't see how that's added value.

* Annihilation barge: with the change to flying this becomes more mobile, and perhaps the new terrain layout and rules around objectives and terrain will force more grouping, making the Tesla jumping lightning effort more valuable?

* Obelisk: does the movement debuff become better vs melee armies, and does it add more value vs flying units, forcing them to pay more movement tax to get into the right position? Is that at all valuable? Also flyers that make shoot and scoot moves like landspeeders might be more impacted? Also being able to fly through terrain is a soft buff?

* T Vault: same as Obelisk, does the Flying over terrain change benefit this enough to make it viable?

* Triarch pretorians: does the change of charge rules and deepstrike distance buff these guys, along side the reroll charges? I can't do the math myself but Google tells me it's about 67% succesful 8 inch charge with rerolls, meaning you should be able to get these guys in more often than not.

To be clear, im not convinced the changes will make these units more viable, but I'm open to the idea some smart players might be able to see something I'm missing.

Hi guys and girls!

I'm a fairly experienced 40k player looking at deathwatch as a new army, and specifically looking at the new box set as a starting point.

I've never played Space Marines before, and have always found them a bit bland, but the lore behind deathwatch is too cool to ignore!

I currently collect Necrons, Drukhari and Sisters, and love the alternate play styles with Necrons being tanky and slow, drukhari being tactical and fast, and sisters being somewhere in the middle.

What kind of Niche do deathwatch fall into?

If I collect this army it will be less for the painting side of things as I get my fix mostly from NMM necrons and my drukhari and sisters, so I am not too bothered about the "black armor is boring" thing I see pop up, but I really enjoy playing the game and have never played against Deathwatch so I have no idea what their style is like.

Do they play similarly to regular SM, and if not, what are the differences?

Any reply is appreciated, I'm looking for any and all insights!
