Mystery part while reassembling PS5 Pro

Hey folks, I was doing a partial teardown on a used ps5 pro, just to check for any pests that might have taken up residence in it and as I was reassembling, I found this spongy spacer looking thing. I found it right around where it is in the picture. Can anybody tell me what this thing is and where it goes? I feel so stupid.

Any time limits on point booster other than end of calendar year?

I’m pretty sure I’ve looked through things thoroughly but just wanted to check for a confirmation that I haven’t missed anything. It seems to me that if you activate point booster using bolt cash, you theoretically have until you hit $5000 in spend or the end of December to use that point booster. Is that right? Just wanna make sure I didn’t miss some sort of hidden time limit. Thanks yall!
