Am I able to get on waitlists for two separate cameras through their phone sales department?

So I’m a college student who’s been wanting a canon g7x mark iii. Really badly. My friend owns one and it takes the absolute best pictures I’ve ever seen. I’ve been doing research and looking up reviews on it but I also have now gotten into the fujifilm side of cameras. 📸 So now I’m stuck between the Canon g7x Mark iii or the Fujifilm x100vi. I know they’re both completely different cameras and companies. I just think I would really enjoy the challenge of learning how to play with the fujifilm although more expensive than the Mark iii. Is it possible to get on the waitlist for the both and then decide which one I want? Like cancel or return the camera if I prefer one over the other. I was if not considering getting both over a certain timeline. I’m planning on getting either one as a gift for graduating with my Bachelor’s of Science. Then getting another further down the road because I have to save up for it. Anyways I’m rambling, give me some advise if possible and please be nice. I’m just very indecisive about this and it’s a lot of money to spend that I also work very hard for.

What’s a good camera travel set up?

• Budget: $3,000 (Total)
• Country: USA
• Condition: New or Refurbished
• Type of Camera: Pocket Camera, Digital Camera (vintage) , Another Point Shoot, Waterproof Camera
• Intended use: Vlogging while traveling with my best friend
• If photography; what style:
• If video what style:
• What features do you absolutely need:
• Portability:
• Cameras you're considering: Canon Mark g7x, GoPro newer gen, Insta360 Luna Ultra, Sony Cybershot or Samsung mv900f
Cameras Owned: Canon Rebel xt (I think 1st gen), 2 Canon Film Cameras,
• Notes: So I want to get a camera set up to use for vlogging with my friend while on trains or touring museums and such. I also want a camera dedicated to just taking like pictures for the gram. But also have a camera that gives like a dedicated vintage look for funsies while having dinner, or clubbing, etc. And a camera for when at the beach and such. I will also be using these cameras elsewhere when I’m back from traveling. I just kind of want to see if there’s any recommendations for other options that might be better. I plan of buying them over time. And I also know I might be in over my head in terms of buying so many cameras at once. I have some experiences with photography. I’m not really a professional just more want to have a modern point shoot camera and a 2000s camera. Then want to use the go pro for paddle boarding or other things while near water. And the pocket camera sounds like a great option in terms of ease of use and portability for random vlogs. My friends and I like to do when we hangout. It’s for our personal memories not because I’m an influencer or not, I’m not.
