Will My Petunias Be Ok?? 🥺

Hi everyone!!

First time poster in this forum!

A few weeks ago my wife and I got some beautiful hanging baskets with petunias in them. Last summer we got some for our deck and potted them and they did amazing.

This year one of my two hanging baskets I realized I over watered. In just a couple days, the entire plant, mostly all its leaves turned to moosh!

This evening I gave it a massive buzz cut and removed it from the hanging basket and set the dirt ball on newspaper to soak out some that excess water. I also have a fan on low to help wick away the moisture as well.

Below is a picture of how it's looking now after its haircut. Please tell me this over soaked basket will come back. After cutting it, I feel like WOW, what did I just do!! Words of encouragement and growing pointers welcome!! 😎

Are My Pine Trees Dying or Recovering??

Hi everyone. Owned my home 5 years this past April and on my property I have two pine trees, both are the same type. I'm not sure what they are but I do know they are the same.

The past 4 springs, the trees have been healthy and uneventful. Each fall the needless drop and the spring new ones come about. This spring is different though. Both trees are exhibiting the same symptoms. Both trees needles are dry and many just fall off when I touch them/pull gently on them. I don't see any new buds either.

A little background that led up to this as well...

Fall 2025 in Pennsylvania was severely dry. Drought conditions. Not extreme but definitely drought conditions. Prior 2024 Fall was the same deal. Almost severe drought conditions. On top of that, winter 2025-26 was severe cold snaps. The coldest overall winter I've seen in my ownership.

So if you combine two hard falls and then the recent hard winter and one more factor of a deep mid spring freeze we had, my two pine trees are stressed.

Will they recover? They seem to be well established and are probably 15+ years old. I've never particularly liked the pines but now that they are distressed, I'm worried about them 🫤

Girdled A Big Branch: What Are My Options??

Hi everyone,

First time poster! Not 100% sure what kind of tree I have, I can take more pictures later...

WIth that said, we bought our house 5 years ago and I put up a swing using a kit that had like seat belt straps and then attached the seat. That's neither here nor there, but what I didn't take into account was after 5 years this past April, the belt straps girdled the big branch and this year no buds or blooms came on the tree. I'm pretty sure it's a dead branch.

What are my options? Where should I cut the branch? Any chance new shoots will come out of the non girlded area? See the pictures and let me know.

Thanks everyone!

2020 Cub Cadet xt2 GX 54D 26hp - Clutch Pulley Bolt Torque Specs

Hi,

As my title says, does anyone know the torque specs for the electric clutch PTO pulley on a 2020 XT2 GX 54D 26hp? This is the same shaft the drive belt sits above. See attached pictures.

When I cracked her loose yesterday, it was a bear to get loose and took a lot of force to remove because the factory installed it with loctite.
