I’ve been experimenting with a DevOps lab and now have 27 VMs across 3 hypervisors all doing work and perform acceptably on a Mac M4 Max.
It’s a great machine for doing Devops work!
I needed an updated devops workstation so I bought a refurbished and fully loaded MBP last year (M4 Max, 128GB, 8TB, 16"). I paid $6249 for it and noticed today the same configuration as an M5 Max would be $9999. I also paid $429 for a 4TB SanDisk Extreme Pro USB4 that's now selling on Amazon for $999. The price hikes for storage have made these systems feel like a steal! Sometimes it's not always better to wait for something newer in the future. If you need a machine buy it when you need it because eventually anything you buy will become obsolete with enough time.

This is the newer SYNTRX with the analog signal path, digital modulation matrix, joystick, onboard effects, and EMS-style workflow. Excellent machine for drones, noise, experimental sound design, unstable textures, and weird evolving patches. Not selling because it is bad. I just need to free up money/space.
