Looking for a .5 Unit IGT BBQ Grill

Hey All,

I'm searching for a .5 unit IGT BBQ grill. I'm interested in the Zigle/Minimax .5 unit, but it appears they are no longer available, I'm in the US. I was also looking at the Uniconn-S grill from Bigtent Outdoors, but this one has been discontinued.

Any recommendations? There are few brands on Aliexpress, but I'm not sure about the quality.

Thanks!

First Time Camping with the Trailseeker

Hey All,

Just got back from my first overnight car camping adventure with my Trailseeker and I have a few observations and questions about the camping modes/configurations when sleeping in the back.

I'm in Northern California and the outside temperatures have been crazy to say the least. I decided to take the Trailseeker up into the mountains Silver and Caples Lakes for some cooler temperatures.

Those that are familiar with the area, be warned, all the EV charging apps that indicate that Kirkwood Ski Resort has Tesla L3 chargers are wrong. The only chargers were really slow I'll call them L1.5 chargers, I was only pulling 5.5Kw, which would have taken forever to get a full charge. I ended up driving another 30 minutes into South Lake Tahoe to get a full charge.

I'm about 5'8" and I decided to sleep try sleeping in the back with the air conditioner running in "camp" mode. I am also a CPAP user with a Resmed Airsense 11, with only the AC 110 plug.

For those that sleep in the back of their Trailseeker, how do you deal with the rear seats not folding completely flat? I did use an older Thermarest Neo Air Dream pad, with memory foam and air bladder, and the mat still managed to slide down through the night, I wish the seat would fold a bit flatter.

I did notice that when the car is in "camp" mode and the AC is running, I would have to press the liftgate close button and jump quickly into the back, since the key fob wouldn't work to close after I had already gotten in. I'm getting older and this action was evident of that. Conversely, the only want to exit through the lift gate, was to reach across the driver's seat and press the button to the left of the steering wheel since the key fob was not working. Is there a better way, that I haven't figured out?

The CPAP worked well via the 120V outlet, I'm sure the AC usage was certainly higher than using a USB-C adapter. Would the USB-C adapter work in lieu of 120V? I believe my the Resmed Airsense 11 requires 65V output in order to work properly. What do the Trailseeker USB-C outlets output? I haven't found a definitive voltage answer online.

Running the AC at 71 degrees F, and the CPAP via 120V plug for 9 hours used 24 percent of the traction battery, not sure how this compares since this is my first time camping with the car. Obviously, not using the AC, and bringing an external battery bank to power the CPAP would be a more power conscience solution.

I figured out how to turn off the main screen in the settings, but the accent light strips on the dash and the driver display remained lit, despite the brightness being turned down. Is there a way to turn off the illumination in "camp" mode?

I will say, the mostly downhill drive home, used virtually no battery, and with the regen set to max, I actually gained range and a few percent of battery back.

I'm also looking at 12V fridges instead of relying on ice, would it be more power conscience to use a longer 12V outlet cable from the center console and run it to the back or just plug it into the 120V AC in the back. I believe 12V DC is more efficient than 120V, but it's been a while since college.

Overall it was a great learning experience, hopefully the first of many camping trips in the Trailseeker.

Any tips or tricks for my next trip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
