Sup everyone! I just made my first sourdough starter and wanted to see if anyone has any viola (or general orchestra) themed names for it?
Thanks!!

I am a high school violist that is currently working through the Forsyth and has played the Hoffmeister. My teacher wants me to learn a sonata or another solo piece along with the Forsyth, and she said that if there was a specific piece I wanted to learn I could pick something.

What are some solo pieces that y'all would recommend based on my skill level. They can also be originally written for another instrument as long as a viola transcription is readily available. I LOVE romantic era pieces, and I am also not very adept at chords so a piece that is chord heavy would be cool so I can work on those.

TIA!

I mostly play casually but want to play more seriously. However this sub is full of lingo and jargon that I just do not understnad

any translation guides?

Ketramose is one of my new favorite cards to printed, and I wanted to see if any yall had cool lists featuring him.

Thanks!

What are some of yalls favorite, non viola pieces that when areanged for viola sound REALLY good?
Link sheet music if you can!!

Hello! I am a high school violists and I just got an email from Honors Performance Series recommending I audition for their upcoming trips to NYC. Has anyone ever done this before and could you share details of what it was like?

Does anyone have fingerings for the bruch violin concerto no 1 that I could use?
