Another “next” call:

For those asking about next calls: I don't have a good hand. But I can't defend against a red call. So I call "next" and hope to hit my partners hand.

Card Distribution

Let’s talk card distribution. TBH this has been rattling around my head for a while, but I wasn’t quite sure what to ask. I still really don’t, but I’m going to try anyway.

What can I deduce (guesstimate) about card distribution based on the follow hands:

  1. 4 suited, no jacks, but good mix of values?
  2. 4 suited with 1 jack, mix of values?
  3. 2 suited loner?
  4. 3 suited, loner?
  5. 4 suited, 2 jacks of opposite colors?
  6. 3-4 suited, 2 jacks the same color?

If there is a better way to talk about this, please just take over the post.

Thanks everyone!

Ordering it up for the set.

If I am sitting left of the dealer and can’t stop a loner, I order it up for a set. Better to give them 2 points instead of 4. People I play with don’t understand. Am I the only one doing this?

Can someone explain the theory behind called “next”

When it comes to ordering “next” are there specific rules on what you need to order next depending on your seat order? More specifically, are the “rules” for ordering next different from ordering the other two suits.
TIA

What does playing a non-bower Jack mean about your hand?

I was wondering what playing this signals, both as part of offense and defense. What does it signal you have when you play it. Strength? Weakness? Is it pointless? We have a ton of signals and I think this one could mean something

Made an app to help track scores for card games (Mod approved)

I recently made an app to help me keep track of board and card game scores. I thought that it could be equally useful for Euchre to avoid using a pencil and paper.

The app supports up to 8 players, and doesn't require internet or an account.

[Apple App Store] [Google Play Store]

Let me know what you think and any feedback is welcomed!

How bad can it get?

I went on a heater for a couple of days (win percentage over 60% maybe close to 66%) and got my ranking up to 1970 (just started playing online a month ago). Then I proceeded to lose 8 straight games. Most weren’t even close. Here are a couple of highlights :
- Lost 10-0 and lost all 15 tricks
- lost 11-4 without my partner or me ever calling trump. It was unreal. My partner euchered them twice (he won 5 of the six tricks) so maybe he could have been a little more aggressive calling trump. But I think it was 12 hands with them calling trump every time. S4 got stuck calling H and his partner had R/A and Ax. I probably won a total of 5 tricks and usually had a hand with no trump and no Aces.
- two or three games were 10-1 or 10-2
- lost 10-3 once where my partner went alone three times and couldn’t cash any on them. They had two loaners and won all 10 tricks with similar hands as my partner. We basically lost 5 coin flips in a row.

Just a total beatdown. I’m afraid to play right now.

Ostrich in an online blackjack session at Duel Casino

🔥 Duel live games are getting increasingly absurd: SpongeBob, Patrick, Drake and Lil Pump lookalike appear on stream

Clips from the crypto casino Duel new broadcasts continue to go viral on X (formerly Twitter). This time, users' attention was drawn to live blackjack snippets featuring dealers dressed as characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as a participant who closely resembles the rapper Drake, Lil Pump, Andrew Tate, 50 Cent.

🗄 What happened

In the published footage, a person in a SpongeBob costume appears at Duel's live blackjack tables as both a player and a dealer. During the broadcasts, he deals cards, interacts with other dealers, and stages skits with an intentionally absurd delivery.

In several episodes, SpongeBob simulates sexualized actions toward stream participants right during the deals. In one clip, the scene plays out with a male dealer, and in another, with dealer Nelli, one of Duel’s most recognizable hosts.

🗄 Reaction

The recordings quickly racked up views on X and reddit, sparking yet another wave of discussion surrounding Duel’s content. Users note that the platform's streams are visibly shifting away from a classic live casino format toward an internet show filled with absurd performances.

Previously, a broadcast featuring Duel founder Ossi Ketola, who personally acted as a dealer, had already drawn widespread attention, as did streams where staff made provocative remarks directed at players.

Passive lead: JKX from R1S1

A few ways I could have been euchred here. Dealer held LAQ. Also S2 wins a trick if I lead a diamond.
