Was This a Bad Loner Call?
Score was 0-1 opponent's way.
I held Js A-Kh and A-9d. Picked up the 9s, discarded the 9d and went alone.
Granted I probably would've been euchred with a partner anyway but the player to my left had 3 clubs and two trump and played the clubs for 2 tricks plus their trumped trick for the euchre.
I did the lead the king out of an A-K combo trickery but they didn't fall for it.
I think it was a reasonable hand to go alone on and I would've been euchred anyway with my partner unless they held 2 trump.
1700 score slump.
About a year ago I posted on here that I had finally hit 1900. Some comments stated that leaving games early skewed my stats so I reset my account on 3D and started over, never once leaving a game and only playing rated. I seem to be stuck around 1700, I may make it to 1730 something then drop back down to 1700.
What do these stats say I need to adjust, or do differently

People Pleasing Problem
I’m still relatively new to competitive Euchre. I used to play cautiously and my aim was to not upset my partner. I have been a competitive poker player for years and I knew my game was suffering due to this tendency. Euchre feels more personal since your partner can only rely on you for support - hence my overabundance of caution.
I’ve been lurking on this sub for a while and noticed that some of the best players were calling far more hands than I was. My equilibrium was right around 25.5% and I was seeing others in the 30%+ range.
I decided in early May to play truly off of my instincts and stop worrying so much about making a thin call and upsetting my partner. The results so far have been clear and positive. I wonder how many other new players simply need to loosen up to see results?
Unsuitable ad
Has anyone run into the candy crush ad on euchre 3d? I couldn't get past it. Does anybody know how?
Edit: title should be unskippable*
No clue on what this term means in relation to euchre. Some help?
Today while playing a casual game on 3deuchre in which my partner and I did decently, I took a risky hand early on and failed which got me euchred, but otherwise we ended up winning 10-3.
Around when the score was 8-3, an opponent said called me a sandbagger and when I asked what that meant in regards to euchre, he just told me to figure it out.
Now for me, as a bowler and other sports, term sandbagger usually involved someone purposely doing bad to get into a rank/league/score that let's them play with a better handicap (in the case of bowling), etc. Which is why I mentioned the i was playing casual play, not ranked. Im confused as to how I sandbagged. So ik wondering if it has a different meaning in euchre?
Any ideas?
Mean Euchre3D Players
Why does every Euchre3D game I play have at least one mean-spirited or otherwise bratty player in it? Get euchred on an aggressive call and get a passive aggressive chat without fail.
Seems like if you take even one second to evaluate the hand someone is spamming Let’s Go!
It’s a game. It’s for fun.
These are not high-rated games either. ~1600
Caller lead after playing boss
So I got no way'ed by an otherwise polite partner and wonder if I've been playing a situation incorrectly.
I'm the S4 caller with RKQ in trump, a green ace, and like a green 10. Win the first trick with my ace. Lead right and two more trumps come out (one from P, other from S3). L and A still out there. I lead off and partner's green ace gets trumped with the trump ace and this is where the no way'ed. P had the left.
Better to lead non-boss trump again? I guess with the Q I'm guaranteed the point and the K is better to march, so this one seems like a clear mistake. I'd guess if I only had one more trump in my hand, then leading off is more defensible?
Vegas Style Euchre
I’ve seen several references to it, but can’t find the definition.
can some please explain it to me
if it’s going to be used consistently in the sub it should be in the glossary of terms
3D needs a turn clock
Sorry, I lurk and I know its annoying to vent but you folks are the only people who will understand. I'm so sick of people turning a 10 minute game into a thousand years. I know ads are a pain, so I give grace if it happens once or twice. But taking ages every single time - ugh.
And playing just bots has its own flaws. I just wish rated had a time option.
Euchre 3D rating
I know this is the nature of the game, but nothing infuriates me more than getting partners who consistently play poorly or get us euchred multiple times. And other times it seems all I can get is all 4 suits in 9s, 10s, and queens. Other times I am dealt a great hand every round. It does not feel randomized as game to game it seems like ALL good cards or ALL bad cards the entire game. I'm just complaining and its probably not true, I just hate losing.
I either win 5 in a row or lose 5 in a row, I swear the game gives me strong cards for a streak and then weak cards for a streak
Per A-Star Software: Yes, the deals are ALWAYS random.
This is clearly posted on their app. In my opinion, unless there is evidence to the contrary, these claims are unfounded and border on slander. It’s ok to note your good or bad luck. Tilting is a real thing and I’ll probably repost on the subject.
This app is unusable without an ad blocker
Forgot to turn my ad blocker on. Just got hit with an ad that had literally no option to skip it or close it. No time counter, no X in the corner, literally the only button was to go to the company website. Tried the old trick where you click on the chat notification to return to the game, and get this screen. Well, at least my next hand would have been pretty good. Wonderful piece of software this is. Just give me a button to mute the stupid chat and let me close an ad.
I tried to break down the hand from last nights post. Its such a cool concept at 9-9.
youtube.comVariance My.....
After putting some serious time in at Euchre 3D. After years of casual rated. Playing very scarcely. With more casual than anything until this past rolling calendar year. I have some numbers for you to think about. Plus I have my own firm conclusion about this app now. That I am completely confident about.
Mind you when I say days. I dont mean culmative days played on the app. I mean days as in Monday through Sunday. Type days. As in consecutive days played. Or total days played. If there was a break and there was.
Ok down to business.
I've played at all sorts of websites and apps over the years. I've attained the highest rung and or rating at all of them. I can now say 3d rated. Is hands down the worst with its quirks. Every site has them. If you play long and often enough you'll see it. I've said this on numerous occasions.
People like to talk about variance in the game and I understand that. There is variance. However to get the type of variance I've experienced. Something has to be very wrong. I've never seen it so wrong at one place.
Starting from my peak on Feb. 26th at 2965 to March 7th 2593. Nine days of play. I dropped. -372points. 9days!!!
Then I had my accident on that day and I had a life re-adjustment. I didnt play for a long time. Thanks to Lefty. I started to play last week again. From August 4th to today. I've continued to drop another -129 pts. Although Im starting to make some progress from my bottom. The day isn't over yet. It's not as bad as the first 9 days, but these last at are still brutal.
In these brief days of play, it's barely half a month of play. I've seen my 56% win percentage go down to 53.1% plus my call percentage from 30% to 28.1%. I have about 4k total lifetime played on the app, only 3k and change on this phone. I've been losing a ton of games. Sure, everyone loses. No matter who you are but at the rate, I'm losing games to adversely affect my numbers like they have. I've never seen it before since I've become a consistently steady player. You will have ups and downs, but the type of downs Im experiencing is something crazy. Well, maybe I'm not as good as I think I am? Maybe I have too many flaws in my game? So that's why this is happening? I think not. Do I have flaws? Yes. Everyone does. However, my flaws are not so bad to cause such a high Variance. So what is it then? Good question. With what I've seen in card distribution, loners, and hand structuring. Plus, you factor in all the subpar play by partners. Which is part of the game and creates its built in variance coupled by how good one plays themselves. That will contribute to it. I believe algorithmically there is an issue that might be tied to rating of the players on the tables and perhaps the time of day as well. There certainly is definitely a pattern inbthe algorithm. That if you are in it. Unless you are on the favorable side. There is nothing you can do. There are too many first hand loners. Too many loners for the overall part. Plus too many hand configurations that give you an automatic calls regardless of skill. There are times that you'll have games more even and skill does rule the day. I find that is later at night and with higher rated. Mid day is completely different play it seems. Anyways I'm going on for a bit. These are my thoughts.
These thoughts, perspectives, observations and ramblings is not from someone new to the game. Nor new to the up and down nature that Euchre can be. Take it for what its worth.
