Need help communicating your husband about changing his priorities and life

We have a 6-week-old, and my husband struggles with staying home. He constantly wants to go to random stores or grocery shopping everyday, even when there's no reason to leave. He refuses to huy groceries for multiple days (this has been an argument for the last 5 years, its cheaper to not stop everyday and less exhausting)
We've been discussing prioritizing our baby’s naps because he's been getting overtired, making bedtime exhausting. Yesterday, we stayed home, our baby napped much more, and bedtime was significantly easier.
Today, my husband got him ready to leave just to drive around and run errands. When I asked what the plan was and he said there wasn't one, I asked, "If there's no plan, then why go anywhere?"
He took this as me calling him stupid. I know my tone doesn't always come across how i intend it to, and he's very sensitive, so conversations often end up being about how I said something rather than what I'm actually saying.
I'm frustrated because we literally just saw how staying home benefited our baby, yet it feels like my husband can't adjust his lifestyle to prioritize our newborn. He said “well you said you want him to get out of the house once a day” and i had to say “yea like a 20 minute walk around the neighborhood not a 2 hour drive around to random stores we dont need to go to where he fights sleep just because you need to get out of the house”

How do I get through to him without him feeling attacked?

They keep making appointments with the office RN

I have my 30 week appointment this week and found out they scheduled me with the RN again, she is fine and nice but that means its been almost 2 months since ive seen my OB and i wanted to talk to him about induction and birth plan. The RN doesnt do birth so most she would do it jot down notes.

I called today to see if my OB was available and they said his schedule if full this week so i would have to make an appointment next week which they don’t recommend being in the 3rd trimester and all. They then said “when you make an appointment for 2 weeks from now request its with him or we will schedule you with the person you saw last” which makes absolutely zero sense, i am in my 3rd trimester shouldnt my appointments automatically be with my doctor?

Thats it, shes a very nice RN just not someone im going to talk to about birth plan or options or pediatrician (she hasnt brought up pediatrician in the last 2 months but she normally does gyn not OB)

Edit: i do not have a problem seeing the RN for basic appointments but she does not do delivery and the office will only book people with who you saw last unless you request something different and they dont communicate when booking the next appointment so i only found out when i was sent an appointment remind. They first booked me with her because my doctor was on vacation, but then kept booking me with her. Since i am not her patient she does not go over test results with me, i had to call in an ask for anatomy scan results, or if i should continue taking vitamin D.

I am pregnant, so i got a few genetic tests done, i was given the wrong test code so expected the total cost of the 2 tests to be around $750 after insurance. The actual codes came out to a little over $1,500 after insurance. The one test was $650 (expected) but the other test was $860 when i was given the wrong test code so the quote from insurance i got was $100 so huge price difference.

My deductible is $1,500 and MOOP is $5,000. So with the tests i reached my deductible and a good chunk of MOOP (with copays and other tests, ive paid about $2,000 towards MOOP) But with the cost being more than expected we are applying for financial assistance which would bring the costs of the 2 tests down from over $1,500 to around $550. Apart those 2 tests the only thing that have gone towards my deductible has been a blood test of around $100.

The company said that it shouldnt affect the fact ive reached my deductible but will only reduce what ive paid towards my MOOP, but i cant find anything that supports that. Anyone have any answers as to whether applying for financial assistance after using insurance how it will influence my deductible and MOOP?
