I love my boyfriend but I prioritize myself and my interests first. He makes little comments sometimes, but ultimately respects that I'm honest and have my own life. I had exes in the past that would villainize me for being like this. Insecurity I suppose.

Hi all. I have been recently watching outdoor boyz on YouTube and now have fixation on survival and camping. I come from a very sheltered family who never did any outdoor activities outside of taking walks or going to a beach. I'm pretty active, go to the gym 5x a week and have a pretty decent, straight forward healthy diet. However, I want to break out of my comfort zone and try camping for the first time.
Also want to note that I have been on multiple hikes and I throughly enjoyed the trek.
Any tips for a first timer?
