Thinking about replacing thermal paste on CPU

Haven't replaced it for like five years, my PC overheats during summer like a mf, especially when playing particularly demanding games. Had a few questions:

  1. is it absolutely necessary to buy 90% alcohol, or should standard 70% be fine? I just want to minimize the amount of shopping I have to do.

  2. is my CPU cooler (Thermaltake Gravity i2 I believe?) even appropriate for my processor (i7 10700k non-overclocked), or should I use the stock Intel cooler/purchase a new CPU cooler? What are good options in such a scenario? I'm looking at Gemini and it suggests Thermalright Peerless Assassin for like $35, is this good price?

2a. if buying the Peerless Assassin, I'm partially concerned about power usage, my PSU supplies within the 650W range (I believe? Could maybe be 750W) and I pair my CPU with an RTX 4070 with some DDR4 RAM (the RAM admittedly shouldn't be much of a problem), will I run into power issues if I use a better cooler?

  1. is this a particularly difficult task that will require me to completely remove the motherboard assembly?

I'm fine with doing some handiwork, I just wanna get a know of what materials are required and what specifically I'll be getting into before I dive in and fuck something up. Thanks for the advice!

I have camelbak water bottle that I used one of those "flavor pack" things with a few days ago. Ever since, the odor of said flavor pack has stuck to the water bottle no matter how many times or how long I washed that bottle in hot water. I tracked the culprit down to the silicon "drinking tip" on the lid, I tried cleaning that with soap and hot water and the odor stays.

How do I properly clean this thing so that damn odor finally goes away? I can't drink outta the bottle without wanting to throw up because of this. Thanks for any advice!
