Down in Oak Forest facing north. Bright red lights too big and way too bright to be a plane, not a firework, too fast to be a helicopter. Was coming from the north headed south, made a wide u-turn towards the west before going back north, hovering and disappearing.

My son and I both watched it from the balcony. I can't explain it.

Anyone else see it?

7/4 edit: Saw several drones tonight. Last night was NOT like anything tonight. Not even close.

I am just looking for some guidance on an issue with a commercial door closer in my building. It seems like when the door is opened fully the swing speed is appropriate but when someone only opens the door slightly (say 45 degrees) and slips through the swing speed is much faster. Latch speed seems unaffected.

Does this mean that the closer is malfunctioning such that I should have it repaired/replaced or is this just a function of how hydraulic door closers operate?
