How do you approach solo Franchise mode?

Mostly an online h2h player but trying to get into franchise. So far it feels like a lot of busy work (negotiating contracts etc), which I know you can delegate or automate but I also like the idea of making my own choices and keeping players I want etc

What settings have you found that strike the right balance between being fun and immersive without too much menu clicking and busy work for the sake of it?

Reset schedule in road to cfp

What does this do? Do you forfeit the rest of your games or do you just start a new season? If you can just restart at anytime it's way too easy for people to demote on purpose. I'm afraid to click it and find out it forfeits my next 4 games and come up as Ls.

Don't fall for it

Madden didn't "cook this year". Madden isn't better than CFB 27 "this year". It's the same thing every year. The same marketing. The same tactics to do whatever it takes to get you to buy them both. Madden is Madden. CFB is... I don't know what they're trying to do with this. But just don't fall for it again.

Yearly Reminder that Ultimate Team is a gross thing.

I know everyone is used to it by now. Accepted that it's just part of what games are and there's nothing anyone can do about it. I know I'm not saying anything that hasn't been repeated. But take it from an unc who's favorite game ever made is NFL 2k5, and was so disappointed when EA got full rights (it just wasn't nearly as good, maybe you had to be there) that I didn't touch another football game until CFB 25: Ultimate Team is jarringly manipulative and predatory to the point it shouldn't be legal. They use tactics ripped straight from casinos to trick you into spending absurd amounts of money for players with slightly better attributes and repeat the process every couple of weeks and people keep doing it out of fear of falling behind or they're unable to shake the feeling that the next pack will be the big one. Spoiler alert: it won't be, and even if it is they'll replace it with something better very soon. The worst part is they are able to push this onto kids who have no idea what's happening, and they've spent millions of dollars to keep this legal by simply saying it isn't gambling because you can't win real money.

It's a lie and a trick and I'm sure this will get shit on or ignored but if one person reads this and reconsiders buying more UT cash then I'm good with that. Here's to hoping CFB 27 is a fun one.
