I analyzed Ralph Alvarado's (R) campaign funding data to find out who he'd represent if elected to US Congress in KY-6. Here's what I learned: he'd represent the rich, PACs that want to keep healthcare expensive, and the Israel lobby

The Planning Commission's public hearing on the new data center zoning ordinance is today at 1:30 pm. It will be at 200 E Main Street in Lexington.

At the last public hearing held by the Planning Commission, the sign-up sheet for speakers was made available at 1pm. If you'd like to speak at today's hearing, I'd encourage you to show up by 1pm to make sure you can get on the speakers' list.

If you aren't comfortable with speaking in front of an audience, you should still show up if you can. The Planning Commission needs to know how much opposition there is to building AI data centers in Lexington.

Reminder: There is a public anti-data center event today (7/22) at 6pm at Harvest Worship Center

Harvest Worship Center is hosting an anti-data center event today (7/22) at 6pm. The address is 1820 Oxford Circle in Lexington.

I will be one of (I believe) several speakers there, but I did not organize the event and am not sure who all will be speaking.

Although I don't know who else will be speaking or what exactly they'll say, I'll briefly summarize the recommendations I plan to make in case anyone here can't make it to the event but would like to know what those recommendations are:

  1. Let the planning commission know that the Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment (ZOTA) currently being considered is woefully inadequate. While it would limit AI data centers to no more than 50,000 square feet, there are no other serious protections for the community in this ZOTA. You can send an email on the ZOTA and what regulations for data centers you'd like to see to planningmailbox@lexingtonky.gov.

  2. Create an account on the government website engage.lexingtonky.gov to leave a comment on the discussion board. There are only 81 comments on that discussion board so far.

  3. Attend the Planning Commission's public hearing on July 30 at 1:30pm. The address is 200 E Main Street in Lexington. This event is about the ZOTA that the Planning Commission is currently considering. Everyone who can make it should attend, but if you'd like to speak you should arrive early (1:00) to put your name on the list.

Candidate meet and greet at Callie's in Versailles today from 4-7pm: Join me to talk about data centers, Israel, the legalization of recreational marijuana, housing costs, campaign finance reform, and any other policy issues you'd like to discuss.

Hi all,

As some of you know, my name is Pete Lynch and I'm running for US Congress in KY-6 as a third-party candidate with the Kentucky Party. I'm also a faculty member in the University of Kentucky's Department of Political Science.

Today (7/6), I'll be at Callie's Homestyle Restaurant from 4-7pm in Versailles and I would love to meet you if you're able to make it.

And if you'd like to host a campaign event somewhere in KY-6--whether it's a meet and greet, a meeting related to the fight against data centers, or anything else--please don't hesitate to email me at info@PeteLynchForKentucky.com.

Reminder: Community event on data centers at the Lyric Theater, tonight at 6pm

If you care about preventing the expansion of the DartPoints data center or stopping hyperscale data centers from invading and taking advantage of our community, please come to the Lyric Theater tonight (June 15) for the 6pm community meeting on data centers.

There will be members of county council at the event, and they need to know that the community doesn't want data centers.

I hope to see many of you there.
