Why did orders cancel? Confusing stock status

We've been on Printify for a week or so. We held a grand opening special - 20% off everything. We were pleased to get about 10 orders. But then we started receiving notices that items were out of stock.

  • They were all 100% Cotton T-Shirt Printify Choice. In the Product View - the Inventory column showed All In Stock for sizes and colors.
  • Yet - in the Orders view, some colors and sizes showed out of stock inside individual orders
  • Prinitify suggested that I search for another provider. So, I did.
  • The other provider (I think it was Ink Blot) was the exact same size, color, and American Apparel product. And it was the same exact price.
  • Great. I requested the substitution.
  • Then - Printify informed me that the customer now owed shipping.
    • Was that displayed somewhere in the dialogue that I missed?
  • Then - the order showed as canceled
    • Did the customer get a notice about the shipping charge and choose to cancel?
    • Or did Printify cancel the order because the customer had not paid for shipping initially?

We're a very small nonprofit. Printify seemed like a good way to dip our toes into branded products. We just didn’t have the funds to buy the merchandise outright and wait for it to sell. Especially for sized items like T-shirts, where sales forecasting is even harder.

Any tips? Ideas? Can anyone explain this black box to me?

Thanks!

Rotisserie chicken no longer available for Instacart delivery?

For the past week, rotisserie chicken has shown as out of stock for delivery. I’ve tried early and late morning and afternoon.
Anyone else?
