Funniest suggestion for a "Mom" joke using an APA citation becomes a conference T-shirt.

I'm headed to a conference soon and am planning to make some fun t-shirts to wear while I'm there. Tonight it popped into my head that there could be some really great "that's what your mom said" jokes. I'm looking for funny/silly ones that are just plain silly and don't denigrate moms (because F*** patriarchy and violence against women).

Best joke will go on a T-shirt I will actually wear at conferences and I'll be happy to make and send you one for yourself.

I only have a couple examples but I know y'all could do better.

Your farts have a <.02 p-value, (Mom, Y. 2025).

More research IS needed (Mom, Y. 2025).

"Lets get interdisciplinary!" (Mom, Y. 2025)

My body of evidence is qualitative (Mom, Y. 2025)

What else? Let's have a few laughs shall we?

Well, it's officially a buy-back 😢Anyone dealt with "Morley" (co. handling buyback process for Nissan)?

[edit] - I'm in Chicagoland

I just got the official call from the dealership and confirmation from consumer affairs that poor sweet 2020 SL plus is going to buy back 😢.

Unfortunately Blue book + 40% won't buy me an equivalent vehicle of the same condition and trim level (even with ~ 70k mileage).

The folks at Nissan consumer affairs said that I will be hearing from Morley soon, the company now handling the buy-backs since the recall fix.

Has anyone here dealt with Morley yet? I could use any advice anyone can give that might help me get a sufficient buyback to get an equitable replacement.

What viable EV replacement do I start looking out for with $1600 budget in Illinois?

CORRECTION TO THE TITLE!!! - $16,000/$16K NOT 1,600

TL;DR - In the event of a buyback, what can I possibly get to genuinely replace my 2020 SL+ within the budget without ending up with potentially even more expensive (non -warranty) reliability issues.

As some may know from an extended post yesterday I got the Nissan Leaf equivalent of the red ring of death or blue screen in the form of the post recall fault. Which is incredibly sad because I actually really loved driving it and I've had it for less than a year.

I know it may take a while but the tech says that it's likely going to get a buyback. As a 2020 SL+ with 68,000 mi, it seems like I can anticipate getting around $16,000 for it with some haggling.

I really don't have more money to put into a replacement (and really can't add a loan payment to my monthly budget)

The Federal rebates are dead, and Illinois rebate (if not already claimed by previous owner) would take up to 6 months to receive.

Need help understanding leafspy data from - Service EV System/reduced power fault while driving on highway on 75°F weather.

Today, on a 30 mile trip, primarily on the highway doing 65-75 mph and just couple miles from our destination I got the service EV system fault and reduced power message. My wife used my phone to take video of the dash and captured screenshots of leafspy data within 5 minutes of the fault.

Leafspy DTCs include p3180-97, p3117E-97 p33ed-00 Looking around, it looks like I might be screwed.

Can anyone tell me a bit more and offer advice?

For context:

We've had our used 65k miles 2020 Leaf SV plus ($14k -> $7K w/rebates) for almost a year now and it's been great. The leafspy data has been consistently good/within expected ranges. Only fast charged once in the past year, otherwise it's been level 2 charging In our garage. I got the recall update done June 9th and haven't seen any issues until now.

[FT/GA] - Evanston - Price $0 - 3x Chain loaches need a new home ASAP

[ Update! - new home found! Thanks y'all!]

The most important thing is I want these guys to have a good home as soon as possible. I'm happy to hand them off on their but would also appreciate a trade.

I'm currently looking for:

low/no-breeding snails,

neocaridina shrimp (females if possible)

otocinclus (otos)

Ember tetras

I can also trade frogbit, java fern, Christmas moss and some of my crypts from the back that I can't remember the name of. They are free of pest snails.

A brand new CS2 just came back from camp with my 12yo. Not in the same condition it left in 🤷🏼 but with some really great pics (will share those soon).

My kiddo is very proud of some of the pictures and I promised them I would share here after the favorites have been selected.

But more immediately I thought I would share the condition the camera returned in. Honestly I'm not particularly mad or surprised but yeeeaaahhhh... The strap (the nice usb-c cable one from camp snap) broke off and the port cover is gone. 🤦🏼 ... It would have been nice to have our new camera come back from camp with just a few new scratches but 🤷🏼 whatcha gonna do

CHAdeMO to NACS adapters - what's the latest word on reliability?

We have a 2018 Toyota sienna that gets 18-19 MPG that we use for longer trips as a family of 4. But I have academic conferences coming up this fall that I'll be attending by myself. It would be amazing if I could take my 2020 Leaf SL+ instead of the gas guzzler (~300 miles)

Needless to say, I have no faith in the possibility of successfully finding a working CHAdeMO charger along my routes. I've been eyeballing CHAdeMO to NACS (or ccs2) adapters and wondering if it's worth the cost or if I'd just be setting myself for a rabbit hole of issues.

Note: I got the DC fast charge recall update done at a dealership everything looks good. I've only done one DC since then (I rarely need to charge while I'm out and about and only found a working CHAdeMO once in the few times I felt the need).
