Structured Ostrich Leather Tote (sharing a recent build)

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some photos of a project I recently finished. There’s something special about how this violet ostrich skin comes together in a structured design—the texture really stands out in person.

It’s a fully hand-saddle-stitched piece, built to be a reliable, everyday companion. Inside, it’s lined with soft goat leather and has two pockets, one of which features a zipper to keep your essentials secure. I’m quite happy with how the lines and the violet finish turned out on this one.

Just sharing the results—happy to chat if you have any questions about the bag!

Hand-stitched Long Wallet: Alligator Exterior & Chevre Interior (7.5" x 3.75")

Just finished this commission for a fellow Redditor. The goal was to pair the character of the alligator skin on the outside with the durability and smooth finish of the Chevre goat leather on the inside.

Exterior: Genuine Alligator.

Interior: Chevre goat leather.

Dimensions: 7.5" x 3.75" (19 x 9.5 cm).

Layout: 16 card slots, 3 hidden pockets, full-size bill compartment.

Construction: 100% saddle-stitched.

Managed to keep the profile slim despite the high capacity. It was an interesting exercise in balancing the thickness of the exotic hide with the refined interior structure.

Happy to discuss the construction process or answer any questions about the leather combination.

Grey on the outside, a pop of pink on the inside. My latest structured tote build.

Hey guys,

Wanted to drop by and share my latest project-a small structured tote.

For this build, I focused on a clean, sharp silhouette balanced by a bold interior contrast.

The Details:

Exterior: Grey Chèvre from Falco Pellami (Italy). Absolutely love the natural, elegant grain on this leather.

Interior & Accents: Vibrant pink Chèvre to give it that sharp "pop of color."

The entire piece is fully lined and structured to hold its clean shape neatly over time.

Just wanted to share the result with the community. Let me know what you think of the lines and this color pairing!

Back for post #2. Really focused on scale symmetry for this alligator crossbody, and decided it needed a matching wallet/key holder set.

Thanks again for the lovely welcome on my first post! I wanted to show this complete project.

This alligator piece was quite a challenge, especially trying to get the pattern symmetrical on the main panel. While making it, I realized the 'quiet luxury' look could use some matching accessories.

I decided to create this wallet and key holder as a surprise gift for the client. I think the green/teal contrast leather on the accessories really makes the whole set pop! What do you think of this combination?

Bespoke Hand-stitched Wristlet Pouch: Veg-tan Alligator & Chèvre

Hey Bag Boys Club! Decided to drop my first showcase today.

This piece is all about the materials — vegetable-tanned alligator and chèvre. It’s quite rare to find alligator in veg-tan, so it was a pleasure to work with. I’ve added a wrist strap for some extra ergonomics and kept the design clean and logo-free. Everything is entirely hand-stitched.

Cheers!

Custom Bifold in Italian Veg-tan Chèvre. Antiba & Bonaudo.

Just wrapped up this commission for a fellow Redditor. I wanted to lean into the "Quiet Luxury" aesthetic here—focusing on clean lines and the natural texture of the hides rather than flashy hardware or branding.

Build Details:

Leather: A combination of vegetable-tanned Chèvre from Antiba and Bonaudo. I really enjoy the temper of these Italian goat skins; they allow for a very slim profile while staying incredibly resilient.

Stitching: Hand-stitched with a traditional saddle stitch. No machines used.

Thread: 0.45mm Meisi linen thread.

Size: ~3.15" x 3.93" (8 x 10 cm).

It’s always a pleasure working with high-end Chèvre. The way the grain catches the light is something else. I aimed for a refined, minimalist look that highlights the craftsmanship of the saddle stitch.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the color combo or answer any technical questions about the build!

A compact bifold in Italian Chèvre. Made this for a fellow Redditor.

I recently finished this custom project for a member of the Reddit community and wanted to share the final result. The idea was to create something that feels substantial yet remains slim enough for comfortable carry.

The Materials:

Leather: Vegetable-tanned Chèvre (goat leather) from two Italian tanneries I really admire: Antiba and Bonaudo.

Texture: It has a very distinct, tactile grain that’s characteristic of high-end Italian goat leather. It’s soft to the touch but holds its shape perfectly.

The Specs:

Dimensions: ~3.15" x 3.93" (8 x 10 cm).

Craftsmanship: Entirely hand-stitched with a saddle stitch using 0.45mm Meisi thread.

Design: Clean, minimalist bifold layout.

I personally love working with Chèvre because of how it ages and how thin you can get it without losing strength. There’s no machine work here — just traditional hand tools and a lot of patience.

Thought you guys might appreciate the texture on this one! Happy to answer any questions about the build.

Custom Bifold for a fellow Redditor. Veg-tan Italian Chèvre from Antiba & Bonaudo.

Just wanted to share a recently completed commission for a member of this sub. The goal was to create a refined, daily-carry bifold using some of my favorite Italian leathers.

Technical Details:

Leather: Full vegetable-tanned Chèvre (goat leather) from Antiba and Bonaudo tanneries. The depth of color and the natural grain of these hides are truly top-tier.

Dimensions: ~3.15" x 3.93" (8 x 10 cm).

Stitching: Hand-stitched with a traditional saddle stitch using 0.45mm Meisi thread.

Construction: Fully handmade, focusing on a slim profile that still maintains the structural integrity of the leather.

There’s something special about working with high-quality goat leather—it offers a great balance of durability and a sophisticated look that only gets better with use.

Always happy to talk shop or answer any technical questions about the materials and the build process!

Just finished up this zip-around bifold and wanted to share the build details with you all. I was aiming for a "Quiet Luxury" aesthetic, focusing on clean lines and material quality rather than flashy hardware.

Materials & Tools:

Main: Genuine Alligator in Emerald Green.

Interior: Chèvre (Goat leather). I’m a big fan of using Chèvre for high-capacity interiors because of its tensile strength at lower thicknesses.

Stitching: 3mm stitch pitch using 0.45mm thread. I find this combo provides that high-end, refined look without sacrificing the "handmade" character.

Edges: Hand-painted with Fenice. Sanded, buffed, and repeated until flush.

Marking: Blind hot stamping. Personally, I’ve moved away from foil as I find blind embossing more permanent and sophisticated for this style of work.

The Build:

The main challenge here was the internal geometry. Fitting 10 card slots and 3 hidden pockets into a zip-around format requires a lot of strategic skiving to keep the "sandwich" from getting too thick at the perimeter.

The zipper was glued and stitched by hand to ensure the tension is even all the way around the curves. It's a slow process, but the results in the action of the zip are worth it.

Would love to hear your feedback on the 3mm/0.45mm balance — do you prefer a tighter pitch for exotics, or do you think this hits the sweet spot?

Happy to answer any questions about the assembly or the materials used!

Hi everyone! Just finished this commission and wanted to share some technical details with the community.

This build was a bit of a challenge due to the internal layout, but I’m really happy with how the emerald tones came together.

Technical Specs:

Leather: Genuine Alligator (exterior) paired with Chèvre (interior). I find that Chèvre provides the perfect balance of thinness and strength for high-capacity wallets.

Structure: 10 card slots, 3 hidden pockets, and a full-sized bill compartment.

Stitching: Hand-stitched using a 3mm stitch pitch and 0.45mm thread.

Edge Finish: Multiple layers of Fenice edge paint, sanded between coats for a flush, glassy finish.

Personalization: I went with a blind hot stamping for the branding—I personally feel it’s more durable and fits the "quiet luxury" vibe better than foil.

Construction Notes:

Managing the thickness with 10 slots and a zipper can be tricky. I spent a lot of time skiving the edges of the Chèvre to ensure the wallet didn't become too bulky once loaded. The zipper alignment was done by hand to ensure a perfectly symmetrical curve at the corners.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the color combo or answer any questions about the process!
