Upgrade bid denied but countered

Hey all

So I’m going on a 4 night cruise 9/14-9/18. I booked a deluxe balcony. Got the upgrade email and there was a yacht club interior offer. The minimum bid was $330 the max was $605. I bid the max.

Few days go by and I get this email.

“We've checked the upgrade availability on your upcoming sailing and don't think we'll be able to accept your original offer. However, based on what is currently available at the time of sending this email, we would like to propose the following upgrade opportunity back to you instead.”

Offering me a yacht club deluxe suite for $1155.

Do you think this is just a way to get me to spend more money and they may have that room available? Maybe if I wait it out I’ll eventually get the one I bid on?

It’s not gonna be worth it for us at $1155 but at $605 seemed great.

Just figured I’d ask for some input.

Thanks everyone

Transfer pump pressure washer issues

Does anyone have a solution for this? Whenever the pressure washer is running it’s fine but as soon as I let go of the handle the tube blows up like a balloon. Is it just get a stronger tubing?

Edit: The setup is a 50 gallon tank, Seaflo 33 series to a Ryobi 1.8.

FHR data point Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

Checked into the Cosmo on 5/26. Had a one bedroom terrace suite booked and was upgraded to a fountain view. I mentioned the desire for a fountain view on my reservation and then mentioned it again at check in. They made a call and got the upgrade for us no problem.

Checked in at the priority check in room.

Room wasn’t ready yet as it was only 10am so they gave us a $50 voucher to use for food while we waited which was great. Didn’t even ask they just offered it. They said we would receive a text when the room was ready.

The bellhop took our bags and we went off to wicked spoon for breakfast. It was fine. Not quite worth full price but with the $50 off I thought it was fine. We were too early for the crab legs and such.

1.5 hours later our room was ready. We got our bags, activated our room keys at the tablet and we were off. In our room overlooking the fountain by noon.

Still working on using our credits. Went to star bucks and beauty and Essex the first day. They haven’t posted the credits yet.

Overall a very very satisfying experience. Idk that you can ask for much more then a room upgrade, check-in at 11:30am, a $50 additional credit on top of the $60 daily($120 for the 2 days) for breakfast and $100 for the 2 night stay. $270 total in credits + very early check in + fountain view upgrade is a great deal.

On top of all that I only paid $351.93 for the 2 nights and I had my $300 hotel credit.

So $51.93 out of pocket (plus resort fees and taxes which I can’t remember what they are but that is what it is and it’s everywhere)

Think I got my moneys worth out of this one.

Good luck to all in extracting value
