I am sensing a disciplinary meeting might be in my near future.

I understand we should ask that a union rep be present but in the real world what might that look like? Would we want to make the inquiry at the time we receive a meeting request? And supervisor would have to say yes if so and then would the meeting need to be rescheduled? It sounds so awkward but i want to be prepared.

Thank you.

I am looking for suggestions for catering/meal prep for an event I am hosting at Los Flores Ranch.

It will be small, approx 15 people give or take and I have a budget of about $25.00 per person. Of course it would be great if it could be less so I can provide other treats. It could be picked up or delivered, doesn't matter. Next month.

Thank you!

Does anyone else have trouble connecting to a sibling who is dismissive?

I have a younger (8 year difference) who I can't seem to get close to I have tried for years. Things that seem like small issues to me will cause her to block my number. Most recently I asked if her, her fiance and I could get together to do yardwork at our mom's house so our elderly mom could go outside. Her boyfriend said no, she didn't respond, and I responded by asking if he was unavailable or if he didn't think he should contribute. It was a legitimate question to me. At least I would know where he was coming from. He lives in my mom's house for 200 dollars a month, and regardless of the rent, isn't it reasonable for everyone to pitch in somehow?

He responded by saying "have fun with your texts", my sister said nothing and blocked me.

I live an hour away from the house but go down to help my mom at least once a week. She is starting to talk about needing to go to a convalescent home if she can't get support at the house.

I digress.

I emailed my sister to tell her it hurt me that she blocked me, I would never imagine a scenario in which I would block her. We've had so much loss in the family it's important to me to be able to communicate.

Ultimately she said for her mental health she would rather block me than fight.

Fight? About yardwork? Wtf. She said I was being confrontational in my texts and it gives her anxiety.

All of that sounds reasonable enough except it's bullshit. My sister and her bf that just moved in fight horribly. F bombs all the time, screaming matches, name calling. My sister is reactionary and extremely confrontational to me regularly. Always when it comes down to a discussion about household issues.

My mom tells me she needs help and when it's bad enough I break down and reach out, always prefacing with "mom reaches out to me, Im not judging or assuming anything about what she said but she is crying and said she needs help with .....". She trips out, barges info my moms room and starts in on her then.

Im at a crossroads. I don't know whether to just go off and say what I really feel or cut her off completely or play nice and address the real concerns about real life things like power of attorney, our mom needing a will etc etc. But if we can't talk because of something like yardwork, how could we discuss more important things?

I've tried to get close to her for years and nothing has changed. I don't know what to do next.

My.mom is basically afraid of her so I can't ask her to do anything.

Does anyone understand what I'm going through?

My mom seems to thrive off of pitting my sister and I against each other. Why would that even be something a parent would want to do?

Just a tiny bit of back story..I am 8 years older than my sister and often had to parent her. I was in la la land for many years thinking that meant we were closer and not realizing she resented me for it. We often did not live in the same house together but I don't know why.

Fast forward, shes in her 40s I'm in my 50s and she currently lives with mom (and fiance and her daughter, new baby, and bf).

My mom is only comfortable asking me for help and I try to involve the people living there. VERY CAREFULLY.

Never goes well.

When I try and tell my sister what mom needs or says she needs it makes her mad.

So helping my mom is making problems for my sister and I.

I asked my mom if she could talk to my sister to ask why she can't communicate with me. I've done this many times myself, certainly not trying to avoid the convo.

She said maybe if she "gets a chance she will".

My moms sister died not allowing her to her funeral and they had their issues. I asked my mom if grandma never stepped in. She said no and that she wished she would have. Hello!?

Why wouldnt a mom want to unify her daughters instead of creating division?

Last night she said she knows there will be problems between us after she dies but she wishes there wouldnt be. Why would there be? Wth?

I'm angry that by trying to care for her it causes me so much pain.

California - what is the next step after sending a letter via USPS to a trustee requesting an accounting and is it better to send directly to the trustee or their lawyer?

Follow up question: would it be considered normal for someone receiving quarterly payments to receive a third of their usual amount and when asked about it to be told that it will probably be like that for the rest of the year?

Looking for someone who works on or is familiar with VW electronical issues.

Not sure if a traditional mechanic is the best route?

I have a VW Golf Sports wagon with a panoramic sunroof. They are known for water intrusions.

There are several electrical issues that seem to be compounding. I am a student and a public servant so I am not able to take the car to a vw dealership for repairs lol.

But I would like to have it looked at at least. Even if I can't afford the repairs right now I can afford to have it looked at so I can at least know what I'm dealing with.

There are 4 main problems.

Drivers window won't roll down.

Trunk latch will not latch / light comes on when it wants to.

Possible parasitic draw / battery drains.

One overhead light will not independently function.

If you are familiar or can recommend someone who is I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you in advance.

Professor just informed me that she will not accept my final paper - 33 pages of project management work. Now my grade is a D, my first graduate degree course.

She said it shows 87 percent ai. I put through copyleaks and indeed it does, but it's almost entirely surrounding transitions and project management terms.

I asked for clarification and she said she would look into how to get me the report. What does that mean?

I then submitted into copyleaks papers I wrote before ai, same result 100 percent. Put one through the "humanizer" on text guard to see what happened. Did it three times. The content is way dummied down, but still showing 100 percent.

In project management, we're working with limited terms and operations. I feel like everything can be flagged and without any explanation, how can this be resolved?!
