What paths should I choose after a statistics degree if I want to move into ecology and field work

I am a statistics undergraduate student and I am planning to do higher studies. I am trying to understand what paths I should focus after I graduate.

I do not want a career where I stay in a room all day and look at a screen. I want something more active. I am especially interested in ecology nature and environmental work. I like being outside traveling and working in real environments.

So my question is simple. After graduating with a statistics degree what paths should I focus if I want to move into ecology and field based work. What kind of higher studies or fields should I choose to enter this area.

I am not looking only to stay in pure statistics. I am open to moving into ecology or environmental fields and using my background as a base.

If anyone has taken a similar path or is working in ecology related fields I would really appreciate your advice

What paths should I choose after a statistics degree if I want field work and not office life

I am a statistics undergraduate student and I am planning to do higher studies. I am trying to understand what paths I should focus after I graduate.

I do not want a career where I stay in a room all day and look at a screen. I want something more active. I like nature agriculture travel and being outside. I want to work in real places and see real problems and try to solve them.

So my question is simple. After graduating with a statistics degree what paths should I focus if I want this kind of life. What fields should I choose for higher studies that can lead to field work and not only office work.

I am not looking only to combine statistics. I am open to moving into another field if needed. I just want to use my degree as a base and move into something more meaningful and active.

I also want to know what I should start learning now before going to higher studies.

If anyone has taken a similar path or knows good directions please share your advice

Im confused about “Student Heroes” and Sri Lankan university movements can someone explain?

Some people say those students sacrificed themselves to protect free education and defend the university system for future generations.

But other people say many of those events were mostly political struggles and that some student groups used education as part of a bigger political movement or to show influence.

Im not trying to disrespect anyone. I honestly dont know enough history to judge.

Can someone explain:

What exactly happened historically

What did the students actually demand?

What changes happened because of those movements?

Are there good books, articles, documentaries, or balanced sources that explain both sides?

Id appreciate sources instead of slogans because I’m trying to understand, not pick a side.

Thanks.
