Scalp is completely dry, flaky and itchy after using Nizoral shampoo. Do I need a stronger prescribed shampoo or might I have something else?

I have symptoms that are textbook Seb Derm. Large, oily flakes from my scalp. My eyebrows and sideburns have them too. I use a scrupper to make sure the shampoo gets to my scalp. Am i leaving it on for too long?
