How did you survive the first weeks at your new job?

I started working and have only been working for two days so far. The first day was very difficult, the second was better, but I would like to know your tips on how to get through it without feeling bad. I have a three-month probationary period if I don't like it, but at the moment my job is very bad, so I have to stay. Thank you

They hired me. After 7 months 🙌

After countless dutiful CVs, I finally got a job. It's not my dream job, but it's not far from home. Maybe a stupid question, but how long did it take you to get back into the rhythm and routine of work?

It may sound cliché, but if I found a job in my small country, you can too. Just pull yourself together. It's mentally tiring and humiliating, but in the end, luck will smile on you and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for each and every one of you.

Your opinion

Hi. How are you doing with your friends who have children? I have a friend whose child is a year old but I'm still the only one who calls out for coffee. She told me that she forgets to write back and when she does want to call back, her child always demands something from her. I understand that priorities have changed, but having to keep calling back is tiring. I don't think she can find a minute in 24 hours to write back or call back to see how I'm doing. Just because you have a child doesn't mean the whole world has to stop. Friendships need to be nurtured. But I'm tired of taking care of this friendship when only I have the initiative.

How long

Hi 🙌 How long did it take you to find a job? I've been trying for 7 months and have been unsuccessful so I'm curious how long it took you. I have 12+ years of experience and only had one interview.

Exhausting experience

Hello. How long did you look for a job before you found one that suited you? I have 14+ years of experience and I haven't been able to find anything for 6 months. I've only had one interview.

Only child struggle

Hello. I am an only child. My mother is 70 years old and so far she can take care of herself. But I know that the time will come when she will no longer be able to. Her pension will not cover the costs of caring for her. As an only child, I do not have enough income to support myself, my household and also pay my mother. I feel alone in this. In Slovakia, we have poor salaries and I cannot imagine how I will deal with it when it comes to that. Is there anyone here with a similar situation? I have no one to talk to about it. My father abandoned me after the divorce and I have no one in my family to rely on. Thanks for reading
