It’s time for damage caps to be pushed back a turn

It’s completely ridiculous that most games are in top 3-4 by turns 9-11, and dark gifts have made that trend even more polarizing by giving players one more thing to whiff on and die the next turn because of.

Games being too fast is by no means a new issue, but that doesn’t make it any less of a deterrent to playing more when the fun of BGs is often found in mid- to late-game scaling, when you actually have the gold and setup to make complex decisions.

All that’s needed is one more turn of damage cap for players to have the chance to turn the corner.

Introducing the D.Mon space program

Pic related.

TL;DR, give D.Mon an alt eject that blasts her into the air with a speed boost (without an instant remech)

I’m not the first person to bring this up and definitely won’t be the last, but D.Mon’s baby stage needs some love. The hero is in a good spot overall (if not overtuned), but her demech feels so tacked on and leaves a lot on the table that could play into hero fantasy.

Right now, D.Mon’s dollar store DVa demech limply launches her right into enemy fire and stranded with a terrible weapon. While you could go and make baby D.Mon a demon with armor and/or damage (which would fit her flavor as the “tough” mecha pilot), I’d love to see her given a unique survival/reposition option like DVa's via an alternate ult.

As a life-long mecha game fan, I can confidently say that Titanfall 2 nailed the FPS mech fantasy like no other before or since. My favorite aspect of piloting a titan was, counterintuitively, how you got out of it — or rather, the option of doing so by launching yourself into space with a nuclear ejection when “doomed.” DVa already has the “nuclear” part of this ability, so it’s only fair for D.Mon to get the “ejection.”

In my mind, D.Mon’s alt ult would lengthen the de-mech animation by a second or so before releasing a small green AoE and blasting D.Mon into the skybox. While airborne, she would have increased mobility to directionally input her way out of harms way.

This would also get around the constant issue of demeching in the enemy team’s face and instantly being sent to heaven. To offset this buff, I think it’s fair for her ejection to NOT allow for an instant remech like D.Va's. I’m also imagining that the extra second of animation can help the enemy team get ready to intercept her, which would reward the D.Mon player for outsmarting/anticipating their reaction. The airtime does also make you an easier target, so I think it’s a pretty fair trade off.

I honestly think this idea would be balanced for those reasons, but I’d love to get y’all’s thoughts on if this idea is reasonable and/or how else her demech can be spiced up.

If queue times and glacial updates didn’t kill Stadium, publicly announcing you’re pulling the plug certainly will

Congrats to the Blizzard Brain Trust on creating a self-fulfilling prophecy for the only inventive new mode they’ve rolled out since Overwatch first released! If systematically neglecting the mode hasn’t put people off already, you publicly announcing that you’re completely cutting off new content will certainly do the trick in killing Stadium once and for all.

If you go to any of the dozens of hero main subs grieving that their character will never make it into Stadium, you’ll realize that making this knuckleheaded announcement just put off **entire communities** that played stadium previously with the excitement that their hero might one day make the roster. THANK YOU for relieving me of the tiny modicum of interest I’ve retained in Stadium with that hope.

Congrats on the PR suicide, Stadium! I wish I could say it was fun while it lasted, but that hasn’t really applied since you gutted all the builds I used to play and added characters I despise without any of their counters.

Kaycee's Mod beginner here! Just discovered the most broken combo and got a bit carried away...

15 minutes of sacrifice cycling has never been so worth it. Now I get why deathless black goat is so insane. I had been using it to cheat out 3 blood units (yesterday had a 9/16 moose) but little did I know that my best self-eating friend was so much more broken. I'm sure this combo is far from new to the community but just wanted to share as someone who went in blind and discovered it for myself today

PSA: whatever Blizzard patched today broke Air Revenant and Easterly Winds. Stay away from shop buff eles.

This is after two turns of this revenant being on board -- as as you can see in the shop, nothing is buffed. Easy top 6, thank you Blizzard

Is Neon Junction the new worst ball map in the game?

I thought maps couldn’t get more claustrophobic than Aatlis, but the devs have proven me wrong. Neon Junction is simultaneously super cramped in side lanes and overly simplified in main with resoundingly little useful verticality or escape paths. I also can’t find, let alone path to, the megas but maybe that’s just me. Altogether though this feels like an impossible map for ball, at least on defense (attack is braindead for any hero since the whole map is a flat uninterrupted line half as long as any other hybrid map). How are yall feeling about it?

What's the unluckiest moment of your BGs career?

Just lost a free 1st by tripling evoker from a bounty after the turn timer ended...
