Our two South African workers did a “Brie” for the 4th, A bbq of beef and mutton over a charcoal fire. both, with their families, are being sponsored by us for permanent worker status on the way to citizenship. While our nation is never perfect, they’ve embraced it as their own and are working hard to build a life here.
I always do a full manual startup in the 172. For some reason the prop stays vertical after start. Engine runs, produces power, airplane flies like it should, seems like all systems are functioning, but the prop does not move. Has anyone had this issue?
Doing some recurrent training and Warren Pietsch (local living legend) pulled up in his P-51. There are 6 of these based at the field, plus several other warbirds as part of the Dakota Territory Air Museum. Considering the weather we have up here its a bit surprising we have that many flying out of here.
