Rare swift borbs

Hope this is allowed! Around this time of year I'm glued to swift nest cameras and thought I'd share their fascinating borb shapes!

Screenshots are taken from RSPB's swift nestcam which you can find here ❤️

They know they’re pretty 😌✨

They all know they’re pretty and posed as I took pictures of them! The last pictures also capture our local womanizer his failed attempt at wooing a beauty ❤️ He dances for any female that visits our balcony but he is rarely successful it seems! 😅

Escargot friend (Helix pomatia)

No food, only friend! Photos are from some time ago.
They're common to come across in the area where I often hike 😃 I keep being amazed at how big they are! ❤️

My fiancé ran into this beauty at work, what are they? 😍

Location is southern Netherlands (close to the German border). We’ve never seen a moth like this before in the area! 😍 They’re gorgeous! 😍💕

Did we get a gift from our magpies..?

These sibling magpie juveniles are visiting our balcony non stop! They’re so adorable, and we leave food and water out for them (and other birds) daily 🥰 Just now they were hopping around on our balcony again, but when they left suddenly this (last slide) was laying on the railing?! 😳

Could it be a gift? I have no idea what it might be but even if it’s poop (it looks like poop lol) I’ll happily accept it 🤣

Babies from the same nest 💞

These two juveniles visit our balcony for food every day! 😍 They’re so sweet ❤️ Sometimes their parents come along with them, but lately they’ve been visiting us by themselves 🥰
Their behaviorisms are so adorable to see! 😍

One of them jumps onto the balcony, where we have another bird bad/water bowl and leave food for them since we also get a lot of pigeons, rooks and jackdaws.

Sibling magpies ❤️

Two juvenile magpies who have been introduced to our bird feeder by their parents 🥰 they’re so adorable, and super chatty! Sometimes they come together with their parents, but just now they were with the two of them ❤️ Such wonderful birds! 😍

In the video, one jumps off the bird feeder onto our balcony. We have another bird bath/water bowl on the ground and that’s also where we leave extra food for the babies (we get a lot of pigeon, rook and jackdaw visitors on our feeder too), so that they can eat in peace.

Wounded? Help needed please

Hi all, I need some help 🙏 this pigeon has something on its leg and seems hurt. The thing is however that he can walk on this leg without issue, is eating and drinking well and doesn’t seem sick. Haven’t been able to see a poop yet though.
Could this be from an attack maybe? Is it a weird molt? He is panting heavily (first time seeing him do this) but it is 30 degrees C (about 86F) out today. We feed the birds daily and get many pigeon visitors so there’s plenty of food and water (we also have a water bowl on our balcony floor which isn’t pictured).

Some backstory: one week ago this pigeon suddenly appeared in our street on the other side of our building. He seemed lost and I wasn’t able to catch him. He also already had the wound. I always carry bird seeds so I left him some food and water. Kept seeing him in our street, he now comes to me for food when I’m out. Today he finally found his way to our balcony bird feeder. Now that he’s on our balcony I can try to catch him again, but since we don’t have the space in our small apartment to keep a bird I decided to first ask what to do. He is very tame. If he needs medical care I’ll try to catch him again. He just ate and drank and is now chilling on our balcony doing happy beak smacks 🥺

Thank you for your help 🙏 My location is the Netherlands btw.
