I made this a bit ago, I think these are all relatively accurate

for the top tier I put skate cause he has rlly good leg power also just kinda based off vibes there, plus he is the fastest ingame. shuri is cause he is really athletic and ingame has a constant jump and speed boost, and coil is cause of his grav and speed modes which I imagine would make him really good in water

for second top tier I put katana cause I’d imagine if this dude is training all the time to the point he’s ripped he would at least be a good swimmer, and vinestaff cause she survived on her own in a harsh enviroment for a really long time, hard to imagine she wouldn’t be a good be a good swimmer with all the survival skills she has

for middle I put medkit but that could honestly be subject to change, hard to decide how experienced he would be when it comes to water so he could go a tier lower, I feel like slingshot would be capable but would hate swimming so he isn’t exactly great at it, and boombox is honestly a 50/50, so I just went with the middle

for second lowest tier I put sword cause he did have a very sheltered life, not sure if that included going to the beach or not, but still I think he would struggle to swim, he would probably fair better than the other two in this tier tho. I think banhammer would have no interest in swimming and wouldn’t ever need to considering he has wings, so he probably wouldn’t know what to do if he tried swimming, and scythe is mostly cause her prosthetic arm, not sure if its like rocket where it can’t go in water but either way it would weigh her down

and for the bottom tier theres rocket which is canon, his prothetics don’t go well in water so he would drown before swimming, subspace and hyper are in the same boat, being physically disabled to the point they can’t take showers, I highly doubt they could swim considering that

someone made a post on tt talking about how Katana is stereotypical, it was a valid critisism and all, but like, a bunch of people in the comments just started spewing bs?? saying all the other phighters are also somehow poor stereotypes, and there was no elaboration other than “all the poc characters are aggressive” like, what. and yes, people were deadass saying the devs are misogynistic because there are more phighters that use he/him than she/her 💔

I’m gonna say this, the phighters have no gender, nor do they have any concept of gender, the most they have are pronouns but even then you can kinda just use whatever pronouns on anyone, even fem/masc doesn’t seem to be much of a concept to them, they kinda just wear whatever clothing.

but no, so many people were insistent that there being less she/her character was poor writing and misogynistic, and were getting really aggressive to anyone who said otherwise, someone even went on about how they were sidelined for the he/him characters?? like idek if they’re playing the same game atp. by this logic, any piece of media with less female characters is automatically misogynistic (even tho all the phighters are agender, cause pronouns have to allign gender ig.)

also a ton of people think the dark skinned phighters are stereotypes cause they’re apparently all aggressive? Boombox and Skate just don’t exist ig. but they were reffering to Scythe Ban and Coil, even though Coil is not aggressive or mean, Scythe has a bunch of lore behind why she acts the way she does, like literally being groomed by the cult, and Banhammer is just raised that way. deadass saw someone say that Banhammer and Coil were only popular because they’re commonly shipped with a white character. :/
