How long does recertification take?

I was originally certified last year. I did my competency assessment on the first of the month, and submitted the recertification application on the same day. The Bacb still has my application as under review. It's been almost four weeks and no one has bothered to approve my application. I've sent two emails and no one has responded. I'm sorry but there is no way it should take almost four weeks to review a recertification application, nor is there any excuse to not respond to support emails asking for help. It's even worse because now I can't see my clients. My certification is now inactive and I can't submit another application.

What is going on? Is there anything I can do? Do I have to do the 40 hour training again? I also can't submit another application.

I don't like this field anymore.

I don't know if I can do this job anymore. I'm sick of these defiant and whiny kids, whose parents are shocked that giving in to every demand whenever they want doesn't lead to better behavior. I'm sick of parents who treat me like a glorified babysitter and complain whenever their child acts up. I'm sick of arbitrary rules and changes by the Bacb. I'm sick of being treated like I'm disposable, or that I'm weird because I'm a male RBT working with children. I'm sick of companies putting mandatory trial amounts and insurance above the clients and their well-being.

I'm not sure I want to become a BCBA anymore. Either I need a career change or I need to work in a different department.

Abandoned elementary school

An abandoned elementary school that was next to a row of abandoned houses. The place is on the verge of collapse. I felt a deep sense of sadness the moment I walked in.

Abandoned Nursery and Garden Plant

Abandoned Nursery and manufacturing plant. There were no active security or patrols there. There was only one entrance as everything else was sealed off. I think I saw one camera but it wasn't connected to anything. Just don't graffiti or burn the place down.

Anyone else get emotional after a good show?

Maybe I'm just too sensitive but after a good mosh pit or show I feel terrible, and not in the, "I'm exhausted from moshing for two hours", terrible. I guess the release of emotions and brotherhood in the pit is a bit jarring once the fun ends. I know they call it post concert depression, but it still hits hard.
