I can't help but made a note to myself about >!Reinhard's!< death in this way.

How his illness was often described as a "burning" of his body/soul. How he seems to see his own death as a consequence of >!Kircheis'!< death. How Kircheis has often been associated with fire, with word description like; "hair like flame", or "like molten ruby". How I think of the folklore hero Siegfried (whose name he bore) whose one notable feat was jumping across a ring of fire to rescue the Valkyrie Brunhilde, who later become his lover, and who later indirectly caused his death. How Brunhilde, in the end, throw herself onto Siegfried's funeral pyre out of grief, and how that fire later become the fire that engulf the world and heaven and bring about Ragnarok.

In a way, I kinda see >!Reinhard's!< death as a parallel to Brunhilde being consumed by Siegfried's funeral pyre.

I feel like it implies he mistook her for >!Kircheis!< by how Reinhard seems to think of him the closer he is to his >!death!<. I think it's neat that the shows decided to tell this to the viewer by having Siegfried's Idyll played in the background.

It just occurs to me, that a lot of people will have TES6 as their first Elder Scrolls game and their introduction to the setting. The lore expanded massively over several games by now. I think someone stepping into it for the first time will have difficulty catching up. Which makes me wonder; would having lore “hint” during dialogue be immersive or immersion-breaking? What I thought about was that in Morrowind, you can ask the NPC about “topics” they mentioned in conversations they had with you. I also was reminded of what Avowed did. They have a little “glossary” you can pull up during conversation too.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you love it or hate it? How would you do it, if you think it’s a good idea to have?

These are the characters I play most often. Oirandir the warden being my main! I love giving them characters and backstories. It's so fun to create something of myself in a world that I love and then I get to play it out in such a beautifully crafted world of LOTRO :D

I have other characters as well that I don't really play that much (they are Snuffen the hobbit burglar, Siggdrifa the old beorning grandma, and two other human; Fernfoot the mamuk mahout and hunter, and Wolfberry the gauradan seer (which is to say, rune-keeper!)

Since the server is down today, I figured I should share them for you all to see while waiting for them to open :D

I have such fond memories of this game. I played as a blood mage who romanced Merrill on my first run and Fenris turned on me when I sided with the mage and I had to kill him, so on my second run I decided to romance Fenris and get everyone to survive to the end! It took me quite a while to start liking Anders. I romanced him on my 3rd run, and the contrast between watching Fenris’ healing from his trauma to watching Anders falling into depression and bitterness is heartbreaking. I admit I didn’t care much for Isabella romance, despite liking her as a character.

I like the friendship/rivalry system that they made for this game and then never touched again. In Origin, losing approval feels like losing progress, but in DA2, “losing” approval is gaining rivalry, which is just another path of progress.

It’s a very flawed game. I can say that the writing is good but like, is it though? It’s corny as hell and a lot of things characters do just doesn’t make much sense (Especially Anders, but once I learned that his writer actually hate him, it’s kinda understandable)

I don’t even know why I like the game so much. Perhaps it’s the inevitability of it all. The game does have a feeling of inevitability, yeah? Kirkwall feels like a place designed especially to bring out the worst in humanity. If misery-maxxing is a city. It feels like watching the world end around you and you’re digging in the rubble searching for broken things to love. Maybe that’s why it’s a comfort game. It’s a comfort to know that you’ll lose everything in the end but living one more day is enough because one day is enough for Merrill to go feed stray kitten or for Fenris to practice his choreography and for Isabella to go treat her STD and things like that.

Anyway, I’m very excited to start my 5th Dragon Age 2 playthrough! I think I’ll go with either Anders or Fenris, as they’ve become my favourite romance!

Doing a new world state where I marathon all 4 games again. Just finished an Origin run and wanted to add that character to the world state, but I couldn't find where to add the new character. I'm feeling very stupid right now because I've been looking for an hour 😭

Was on a walk looking at this subreddit and I Love seeing lot of travel pics from tourists in Bangkok and I wanted to share one from my perspective as a local so I snap something for you all to see. It's lovely to see all your photos, thanks for sharing them!

Sometimes my dog just finished the fight alone 😭 (and here's my artistic rendering of when it happen)

I tried putting attributes more into Constitution than Strength for Alistair but alas. Perhaps I just don't know how to play warrior (I just look up guide online and let the AI play him)

I still like to have Alistair in my party though! My city elf origin is romancing him, and I like his banter with other characters ❤️

Been trying to find the one cheese. My Thai grandma married a Swiss guy and went to live there and sent us a block of cheese one time 20 years ago and I'm looking for something familiar (bc I know I'm not finding the exact one)

So far I'm pretty sure it's cheddar. It's extremely sharp, orange, hard and crumbly, but doesn't melt into sticky thing. It just gets wet when microwaved and sometimes turn into orange wet smudge.

Over the past 2 years, I tried all cheese in most Thai supermarkets, so now I'm trying supermarket that imports food from oversea.

Cheese are super expansive here so I'd like to try the one that most fit the description!

Any advice appreciated!

They are so friend-shaped

This is my third playthrough but first one in almost a decade. Drawing my current warden, Wish. I'm gonna romance Alistair because I've never done so.

I fell in love with the game when I played it for the first time, and now that I've forgotten almost everything, playing it again feels like playing it for the first time. Even the Fade section feels new and exciting. The battle cutscene at Ostagar gave me chills. The Grey Warden is such an interesting faction and the game managed to make me feel proud that my fictional character belongs to this fictional faction. Wish is a gal so dear to my heart already, despite having played for only a week or so.

Also, I just got Zevran. He's my first romance, so I feel the nostalgia and the need to redraw the art I made of Zev and my warden, Hat (he wears funny hat and I'm just great at naming characters) (2nd image is my redraw and 3rd is the old art I made during my first playthrough btw)

About an hour from Chiang Mai city to Mae Ton Luang village, then the hike itself is about 8-9 kilometres to the stop in Ban Kampheng Hin, where there will be a pickup truck that will take you back to the village for 20 bath per person, or you can walk another 4-5 kilometre back yourself. The first 3-4 kilometres is a steep climb but the viewpoint is breathtaking :)

I wouldn't recommend it if you're afraid of height.

And that goes without saying, but you should be moderately fit to attempt. You must be there early, as they forbid anyone to enter the trail after 12:00. You must have a partner as they don't allow you to hike alone. Bring lunch and snack. Etc.

It is well worth the hike in my opinion. The air is so fresh and keen, and it's beautiful, not just on the summit, but the entire trail. Highly recommended for hike enthusiast :)
