I thought I would write a guide on how to have respectful discussions about politics about people around us. As a student, this is my first time having a go at writing an opinion piece like this, so feel free to give me lots of feedback.

During political debates, I often caught myself trying to make witty or sharp attacks to gain victory over the other person. After wondering more about why, I realised that I (and I suspect a lot of others too!) was using this political debate as an excuse to feel pride and victory rather than rationally discuss. 

So after reflecting on that, I thought I might write a guide on how to have better political discussions in democracy, which boils down to being respectful, resisting the urge to "win", genuinely listening and attempting to understand the other's ideas, and being willing to accept we are sometimes wrong.

My personal opinion is that Paxton is favored due to the leaning of the state, but Talarico is within reach. However, a lot of things can happen within Texas and the flow of politics in general, so I cannot make a decisive prediction yet. (Might mention that most state based polls and prediction aren't very helpful at this point to predict the results, it will naturally become more accurate weeks before election day)

Hi everyone, I have a French Assignment soon, which is basically describing a houseplan (accompanying floorplan) as if you were describing the house to a friend. The components are:

Describing what type of house it is, with adjectives,

Listing room types (and Number of), with the use of prepositions, uses connectives and conjunctions,

Describe furniture in one or more rooms, using adverbs and adjectives, Correct use of noun/ adjective agreement (I'm assuming this is gendered nouns?), and again preposistions to describe location.

This is like Year 9 level, so nothing too hard. Should I walk in with a rough scaffold sketched out in my head? Should I have certain lines to net me points? How do I not spontaneously combust while speaking? Etc. Any and all tips will be appreciated, its in like a few days
