Ad Duration

What do you feel is better as a viewer:

  1. 1.5 mins of ads every 30 mins

  2. 3mins of ads every 60 mins

I dont want pre-rolls, I know people hate them but what is the right ad balance for midrolls?

I dont pause my gameplay and am currently playing darksouls if that helps for any context. Average 2-5 viewers so the revenue is a non factor here.

Chatters to followers

Struggling to convert people coming into stream to chat for a bit into someone who hits the follow button & comes back. I tend to have one or two people stop by for a while (30+mins) and be pretty chatty but rarely do they follow.

How are people going about this? Are you literally prompting them to follow?

What is with the whispers?

What is this (new to me) trend of 'people' following then sending a twitch whisper with an encouraging message, then following up with a 'are you affiliate yet?" then asking if you've had good promos?

Is this the new bot strat?

How did I sleep on this game for so long?!

Just finished my first playthrough of TLOU1, I don't know how I went so long without playing it.

Beautiful storytelling, compelling characters, fucked up world = 10/10 in my books. Although I couldn't stop picturing Ashley Johnsons face everytime Ellie spoke (perils of watching so much Critical Roll)

Will head onto TLOU2 soon and then maybe I'll find my way to watching the show.

First stream success?

Thanks to everyone that gave suggestions on my last post! Just got done my first stream playing Dark Souls Remastered (first ever dark souls game, I have survived unspoilered until this play through). Removing the pressure of prior performance was super helpful, even had some old stream regulars stop by and say hello again.

Bonus managed to throw on some stream markers to pull for clips, not many but some is better than none!

Returning to streaming

I stopped streaming about 2 years ago, just wasn't enjoying it, felt pressure to always play games with chat and life honestly just got crazy BUT Ive missed the chat interaction and having a community that loves games to check in with so Im going back to it this Friday.

I was only ever small, around 7-10 viewers back then so feel like I'll be rebuilding from very little. Launching with Dark Souls remastered will be my first playthrough of it! Vibes are generally chill, lots of Aussie swearing and a love of outdoors & camping

So, given that info, how did you go about coming back from a long break? Has the twitch vibe changed much in the last 2 years?

Almost there

Waiting on a new mouse (wish they still made the Rival 500), wrist rest and a new custom desk mat but this is what we have so far
