Hi, I have bought a 2010 Core i5 A1286 MacBook Pro on eBay, but it turns out that half the keyboard does not work, including the power button which is why it needs the battery unplugged to turn on. The trackpad works fine, but everything to the right of number 6 doesn’t work. I also have a dead 2009 A1286 MacBook Pro, and I suspect that it may be a issue with the ribbon cable from the logic board to the keyboard, so I would like to know if there is a way to replace just the ribbon cable instead of the whole keyboard (and if it will actually work as I know that top case swaps are incompatible but I think just keyboard swaps should work) and any tutorials that may show it, thanks!

Yes I know the AMD GPU has failed, but when I try turn on the Mac booting off a USB external hard drive with Mountain Lion on it, this is what displays on the screen, and holding option does not open up the boot menu and I can’t perform an NVRAM reset either. I am pretty sure the keys are working though. All help is appreciated!

The other day I bought a 2010 unibody 15 inch MacBook that kernel panicked, and the seller had a photo of the kernel panic in the listing photos, the laptop powered on too. But when it arrived to me, the laptop would not power on. Battery indicator works fine, I attempted to reset the SMC, but the MagSafe light did not change at all. Normally, it goes from orange to green for a split second but after the 10 second SMC reset it just stayed orange. The battery indicator also walks normally, the battery charging and already holding charge. Could anyone help me please? Thanks!

Hi, I would like to replicate the thing in the video with my own mac, and to do that I must force it to kernel panic and repeatedly restart to get it hot enough to make it work again. However, my Mac has absolutely nothing coming on the display (some signs of life like sounds but nothing on display), and I was wondering would I be able to make a bootable SSD on another Mac and try delete some key files to force the MacBook into the boot loop? Hi, my 2009 MacBook Pro gets stuck around here when updating to OSX Monterey, could anyone help me please? I haven’t successfully booted into Monterey yet as this happened after I went though the USB installer. This happens when I try boot from my untitled disk.

Hi, the other day this titanium PowerBook showed up in the mail and it has a broken hinge, I don’t want to replace it as it involves disassembling pretty much the entire laptop and I just want it to be functional, anybody knows any good ways on how to do this? Thanks!
