Visiting Des Monies in October, what Slipknot (historic/music video) locations should we visit? Also local food recommendations!
We are making a road trip across the states and will be in Iowa for a day.
We are only going to Des Monies for 7-8 hours, marked with 🟢 is definitely going and marked with 🟡 is a maybe depending on time.
- Iowa State Capitol Building (Dead Memories) 🟢
- AHIG Cornfield photo location 🟡
- The 'Duality' House 🟡
- Paul and Joe's graves (to pay respects) 🟢
I know Lefty's bar (Safari Club) sadly closed it's doors last year, with no new owners, so no chance there 😞
Are there any local Slipknot related tributes such as murals, shops, potential museum displays etc etc? I heard Iowa isn't very welcoming to their image so there isn't any art dedicated to them etc? Not sure if that is true.
Also looking for locals food recommendations 😁 avoiding any chains, we want to support small businesses.
