Basically I'm screwed. I never had a job, I am autistic and looking for work.
My long term aim is too sign up for a specfic construction course I'm saving up and go in that direction.
I get £700 per month in pip and UC
However my mother insists for whatever reason that come with her too Poland because for whatever reason she does not trust me to stay alone at the house despite leaving me for a week or so without a problem. (No there is nothing I can do too change her mind, it's like talking too a wall).
. l've been searching for work on and off for the last 6 years with 000 success. This time I might finally get an opportunity to put some experience down on my CV +the chances of getting employment as a autistic person is already dog shit. A autistic person like me with 0 work experience has basically beyond dog shit of a chance at employment.
So I'm in tough spot here, I basically need a affordable way too stay in the UK for the next 2 months. All I need is basically food and a place to stay. I don't have any family or friends too ask for a place to stay.
So how can I stay in the UK for the next 2 months before my family comes back home from Poland on my own ?? Any help is really appreciated,
Visiting Leeds soon with my son who is really keen on chickens. Is there any farm park or similar where he can see and maybe even stroke a chicken pls?
We are staying in the centre but have a car so can travel if its on the outskirts somewhere.
Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for where to watch the next game? Ideally a spot with a big screen, lots of space and un crazy pint prices. All I can think of thus far is spoons in Headignley but the TV’s were pretty small.
How were they, anyone who went? Hoping they’ll have more each year, acts this year didn’t appeal to me but an outdoor festival on Leeds does !
Any recommendations about what to do? It’s my first trip to Europe. Specifically id welcome any massage or restaurant recommendations. Thank you all in advance!
I am taking up the Gym, however, I feel I am not doing things right or maxing my workouts. The gym is very small and does not have PT's or coaches.
I am looking for a casual qualified PT who offers good packages or pay as you go for one to two sessions a week at my gym. Flexibility is key due to my shift pattern.
I need someone who is ideally PCOS/PMOS and ADHD friendly, who can help me with my fluctuating weight struggles, burning through adhd brain fog, and hypermobility.

Disclaimer : yes I get people should charge their worth, I am not disrespecting this at all. I am trying so hard to get fitter and I am happy to set a budget aside for the right trainer. I am currently in short term 'debt' that I aim to get out off in 6 months, hence my money restrictions. Please do not be rude to me. Yes, you get what you pay for - but I am just looking at options to help me.
Thank you.
This poster at The Springs made me chuckle today, someone has a great eye for detail 👀.
Does anyone know if there are any places in Leeds which serve food, or even just bars, that cater to a rock/emo music scene for a weekend afternoon?
I’m looking for a shop as close as possible to the city centre that may sell cans of sour? I’m aware that some bars and breweries such as Piglove and Tapped (rest in peace) sold sour beer by the tap, but I’m after cans of sour that I can bring home and have at home!
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)
The way I see it I could take the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then make my way to Kings Cross and then take the train up to Leeds. My hotel is 5 minutes from the station.
It looks like I could also fly Heathrow to Manchester and take a taxi direct to my hotel in Leeds.
Any ideas which would be easier? Cost isn’t a factor.
Hi r/Leeds,
Posted in here a little while ago about Too Young To Grieve, a community for young people navigating grief and loss - the response was honestly lovely, so we’re back this weekend for our second meet up.
Same format as before. A relaxed jog/walk at whatever pace works for you, smaller groups naturally form as you go, then we head for a coffee after and keep chatting.
No pressure to talk about anything heavy. Most people turn up alone and within ten minutes they’re talking to someone who completely gets what they’re going through.
If you saw the first post but weren’t quite ready to come along, this weekend is a good one to try.
Ben will be leading again. Community details in the comments, and feel free to pass it on if you know someone who might find it useful 🤍
anyone know what's going on today at First Direct? I'm nosy and saw hundreds of people in suits, dresses and nametags at about 9:30 this morning?
I’ve never made a reddit post before but I have seen a few people mention scam marketing jobs on this page so I thought I’d best share my experience.
I interviewed with Iliad Group about a month or so ago and it was very much a “promises everything but delivers nothing” kind of position. They preach a “everyone starts at the same position” and “the harder you work, the faster you progress” gospel. The biggest red flag for me was all the jargon marketing language they used, the promise of uncapped commission and the lack of substance on the website.
I have screenshots of my correspondence with the people at the company and a voice recording of one of my multiple interviews with them (which I used to pass their ridiculous online test lol).
TLDR// Avoid Iliad Group.
I am trying to put up a list of must visit couple restaurants and locations in Leeds but all I find when I google is fish and chips shops and take away.
Nothing wrong with them but I was wondering what sort of fun date places there are in Leeds. I loved the Lego art gallery and the art gallery for example.
Please recommend a place to eat and a fun location for dates.
Hi everyone, I've seen posts in the past about getting automated tickets when picking up/ dropping off at Leeds train station. (Where you go around back and up the hill / over the crossing.
I'm picking up some family tomorrow and I'm just wondering what part of the train station I'm supposed to drive to, where I can and can't stop?
Mid 30s working professional moving to Leeds. Looking to rent and then buy in a year or so. Is this a good area? I've heard mixed things about the leeds dock flats so unsure. Im also a woman so safety is a priority. Ideally car parking too. Thanks!
Budget is around £200.
It’s a oversized fit with high waisted trousers.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated
