The weirdest part of a transfer is watching a player’s follower count get repriced overnight
Ferran moves to PSG and suddenly his follower count drops by more than 100k around the announcement.
Maybe some Barça fans unfollowed. Maybe people were already leaving. Maybe it’s bots, inactive accounts, whatever. We really dont know.
But I love how transfers accidentally expose what a football following actually is.
You follow the player… until the shirt changes. Then apparently half the relationship needs renegotiating 😂
A guy can have millions of followers and still find out that some of that audience basically belonged to the badge, not him.
Football social media is shared custody between player and club tbh.
