Looking for guidance.

I graduated with an MBBS ( bachelor in medicine/ bachelor in surgery)from asia. I can practice as a physician in Asia. Now i live in the northern CA. I was a primary caregiver of my mother who passed from complications of cancer in 2020. I am looking to gain some financial independence now that both of my kids are in school. I was told to look into the ODS program. I'm looking for some guidance as how I can get my foot in the door. Since I do have a medical background does that put me in a better position. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Anemic toddler

My 4 and half year old is anemic. He is a picky eater. Has sensory issues with food. He prefers milk, yogurt and chocolate over anything else. His favorite fruits are mangoes and pears. I do give him an iron supplements but I fear it doesn't do anything because of his dairy diet. I did try to cut dairy out but he refuses to eat. So just to get some calories in i feed him what he likes. I have tried introducing vegetables but he just gags. His hb was 9.4 in feb and 11.4 in April after introducing oral iron. His ferritin was 48 in april. He still has symptoms of anemia, pale, tired, poor appetite. What else can I add to his diet to help. Anything otc?

Heloc for home renovation

My home was bought at 250 k 15 years ago. Now it is worth about 480k. I need to get the basement walls fixed, they are cracked. The exterior painted and i had the bathrooms fixed last year and the ceiling need to be repaired where they checked for water leaks. So whole ceiling needs to painted also 2700 sqr ft. And one of the bathroom floors need to be repaired. (Harwood in the bathroom :/ why) i need probably 20k to fix all this. Is it smart to get a heloc to cover expenses. I dont have any saving for this. I want to also sell in the next few months.
