Do Dose/Step One Foods really work?

I need to lower my cholesterol and hope to avoid Zetia. Has anyone tried the Step One Foods or the liquid Dose and did either work? I already eat a low-fat, non red meat diet and am adding more fiber, cutting out alcohol, etc.

Thanks!

New Top of Foot Pain

I have plantar fasciitis and have been seeing a podiatrist and doing physical therapy. Up until yesterday the pain was in the heel and the achilles of my foot. Literally out of nowhere, the top of my foot where my big toe bone is sort of speak, my foot began to ache. Then when I put pressure on the ball of my foot to walk, I feel what I think is nerve pain on the bottom of my foot at the base of my toes. It is hot, tingly and shooting pain that comes and then goes.

I am using ice and ibuprofen and will stay off my feet today. Any suggestions of what is causing this all of a sudden. My calves are tight, and I am doing the physical therapy exercise that do not require me to stand and put pressure on my foot.

I will be contacting the doctor Monday, but wondering if I need a foot/ankle orthopedist.

Thanks for reading.

Cryotherapy to Remove Sebaceous Adenoma on Dog

I have an 11 year old, spayed, female Cavachon who has a sebaceous adenoma on her foot. The dog dermatologist said we could do surgery, which requires anesthesia or try using cryotherapy/liquid nitrogen to remove it.

My dog does have a heart murmur, but the cardiologist said she can be put under anesthesia, but I'd prefer to avoid it if possible.

Has anyone had used the cryotherapy method for their dog? Thank you for reading.
