Vernalo garden planner app on web, iOS, and Android

Vernalo is a free garden planner that tells you what to plant and when, wherever you live, and helps you log water, fertilizer, pests, and plant growth. I've been building a gardening app for people who want to grow food but don't know where to start.

Link: Vernalo

iOS: Link

Android: Link

A few things it does:

- Drag-and-drop garden layout (plan beds and containers visually)

- Personalized planting calendar based on your actual frost dates

- Companion planting hints (what grows well together)

- Works in 200+ locales, on web, iOS, and Android

It's free to use for most gardens up to 25 square feet. Let me know what you think about the onboarding and user experience!

Looking for feedback on the Bahasa Malaysia translation of a gardening app. Does it sound natural?

Hi r/bahasamelayu! I'm working on a gardening / plant-care app and we've translated it into Bahasa Malaysia. Since not all of the text was done by a native speaker, I'd love a few Malaysian eyes on it to tell me whether it actually reads naturally, or where it sounds stiff "Google Translate-ish."

A few things I'm wondering about specifically:

Are there any words or phrases that feel off or forced?

Do the gardening terms and plant names fit? And are there local must haves that are missing?

Should the tone be more formal or more casual for an app like this?

And honestly, would you rather use an app like this in BM or just in English?

Happy to share a few screenshots if anyone's keen to take a look. Terima kasih in advance!

Android and iOS apps are now available for Plant Anywhere to take out in the garden

Hi r/Squarefootgardening,

I wanted to provide an update about the Plant Anywhere gardening app - the Android app has finally been completed along with the iOS app, so you can take it out in the garden and log watering, fertilizer, check the age and time to harvest of all your plants at a glance.

At the same time, you can plan at your desktop with the more fully featured web app.

As a member pointed out, it's short on flowers, but I'm finalizing the flower inventory and they will be out soon!

Disclaimer: the garden in the video is not my actual garden, but meant to show the features of the app!
