California root borer. Willamette valley, OR

My dad found this chunky beetle out by his shop. He/she sure let us know how offended they were about being moved out of way. They sure can squeak pretty loud.

Baby rubber boa in willamette valley area

I made a post on here on the 4th of July about finding an adult rubber boa right next to our patio. Now I guess we have baby ones slithering around. I originally thought it was a giant earthworm but it was slithering instead of inching along

Elusive rubber boa (repost since I forgot to attach an image)

My brother called me outside to show me a snake and it turned out to be a rubber boa. I guess they are not common to see but are abundant in my area of the cascades and other parts of the west coast. They mostly live a subterranean lifestyle from what I’ve read and come out on cool overcast days like today. My dad says he used to see them all the time on our driveway. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a wild one.

Small egg looking thing on my calla Lillies

It’s super small and has some pattern on it. There seems also be some sort of silk or webbing anchoring it in place. There’s also only 1 of these egg things that I can see. I also have some pictures that show the pattern better but I don’t know how to attach them in this post along with the video
