New potted olive tree is flowering — should I let it produce olives?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought this young olive tree and noticed it already has clusters of little flower buds. I’m assuming these are flowers that could eventually develop into olives?

Because the tree is new and still quite small, should I leave the flowers alone and let it try to fruit, or remove them so it can put its energy into establishing its roots and growing stronger?

I’d also appreciate any advice about sunlight, watering, feeding and whether it needs another olive tree nearby for successful pollination.

Thanks!

First time growing tomatoes. Why do the bottoms look like this? 🍅

Hi everyone!

I’m fairly new to growing veggies and my tomato plants are doing really well, but I’ve noticed the bottoms of some of my tomatoes look a bit unusual.

They’re kind of flattened and slightly lumpy with an odd-shaped blossom end rather than being nice and round.

The plants themselves look healthy and the fruit is ripening well, but I’m wondering:

Is this normal for some tomato varieties?

Is it a nutrient issue (calcium, etc.)?

Could it be caused by watering or the weather?

Are they still okay to eat?

I’ve attached a couple of photos. I’d really appreciate any advice or tips on preventing it if it’s something I’m doing wrong. Thanks
