MG RX5

I have an MG RX5 since April 2024, no shaded parking so sun for 2 years.

I also have a land cruiser 2015 and a gti 2012 that also has been parked in the sun. Normal exterior wear and tear nothing shocking.

But the MG? The black wrapping on the side last small window melted now the chrome part is showing. The rubber around the front wind shield under the wipers left its place. The side rubbers under the windows are all cracked.

I work in cars but this is shocking to me, a 2 years old car with 15,000 km on the clock! The thing that made me certain that this is normal, high speed braking makes the car shake?!

Anyone has similar experience? With a Chinese car parked under the sun for over 2 years?

Gti club

I have had a very deep experience with my mk6 gti.

2012 with 220k km.

I know it mechanically inside out, and still i keep taking it back to the garage every couple of months.

Steering rack, fuel pumps, water pumps, engine cooler, gear cooler, mechatronics, radiator, fans. High temperature on heavy driving. And it is endless cycle that never ends, still feel the car is old.

My other car the land cruiser? 300k and i still push it to the max with no issues. Of course no comparison.

No the moral of story. If i go for an mk7/7.5 would I see a difference in ownership of the car? Or just go for lexus is 350 and avoid the headache🤣
