Moving here for a ski season to save money and have fun ??

I got an offer to be a server at a restaurant this winter and have a room for around $1500. i want to take this job because I assume tips will be good and I want to save this winter. I’ve already done some ski seasons elsewhere in the rockies and was able to save a lot, and they were all tourist towns. But on this Reddit everyone is saying it’s different here ? And lonely? This was not my experience in other places. I mean I did need to be careful with spending, I don’t go out to eat, do free activities, and don’t go shopping and basically grind it out at the restaurant. also I found it super easy to make friends with my coworkers and people at the climbing gym etc.. but after reading this Reddit I am second guessing coming here for a winter of fun and money making. Anyone have thoughts on Jackson in general , and Jackson vs. other mountain ski towns?

Had a second interview. Haven’t heard back should I follow up?

Hi all, I had a screening interview then a phone interview with the manager last week. She said she would pass on my information to HR and they would let me know next steps but i wouldn’t hear back till early this week. It’s now Wednesday…. Should I reach out??? Is it a good sign she said they would reach out about next steps??? I really want this job!

Winter work ideas for someone in their 30s?

Hey guys! Ive done a fair bit of seasonal work that lead to some settling down for a couple years in a resort town. I’m thinking of starting fresh again this winter, and have 15 years of bartending and serving experience. Only thing js I’m in my 30s now, so I’m looking for places that aren’t just 18-22 year olds? And obviously looking for good money as a server / bartender. I’m open to large resorts or smaller mom and pop places, or even just a town idea. Can post it here or Dm me if you don’t want to blow up your spot haha! Thank you.
