One airpod not charging

Both AirPods are in the case but sometimes one of them doesn’t charge unless I use a Q-tip and clean the pins inside. This happens too often. What if I am at a random place with no Q-tips or a way to clean the charging pins? Any fix please tell.

Don’t buy airpods

I bought my first pair of AirPods Pro 2 in July 2025. After using them for only 6–7 days, the charging pin on the left side of the charging case corroded. As a result, the left AirPod stopped charging whenever I placed it inside the case.

When I took them to Apple for service, I was told that the damage was caused by liquid exposure and was considered my fault. Fortunately, I had AppleCare+, so instead of paying the full replacement cost, I only had to pay ₹2,500 to get the charging case replaced. Even then, it still cost me money for a problem that occurred within the first week of use.

Fast forward one year. Since my AppleCare+ was about to expire in July, I decided to submit my AirPods Pro 2 to iCare for a full replacement under accidental liquid damage. Once again, I paid the ₹2,500 service fee.
When I submitted them, the service representative told me the replacement would take about 4–5 days, which I was fine with. However, after those five days, I was informed that the required replacement parts were unavailable and that I would have to wait longer. Nearly two weeks later, I finally received my replacement AirPods Pro 2.

Unfortunately, when I tried to set them up, I discovered that the replacement AirPods were still locked to a completely different Apple Account, making them trackable to whoever had locked with the airpods.

What do you think? I’m contacting them again tomorrow for this. What should I say?

Update: I called them and now I can’t see the Apple account connected to my AirPods. It’s not that they did it while I was on the call; the pop-up didn’t appear anymore.
