Not smart enough for books

Not smart enough for books

I see people talk about how they understand the nuances and read between the lines when they read great books but I don't think I'm emotionally intelligent enough for that.

I tried reading To Kill A Mockingbird a few weeks ago because everyone is always talking about it but I couldn't keep up. It felt boring and i knew something was wrong with me. I left it for The Silent Patient and actually finished it.

I'm not very good at this emotional intelligence stuff and I know it, i want to improve and that's why I think i should read, specific types of books even. I see clips of movies on reels and see everyone talking about the hidden meaning and "the heaviness of the scene" but a lot of times i don't understand.

Does anyone else also feel this way? Has anyone made it out of here? Do you have to be out through hell to understand others?

What tabs y'all buying for MBBS?

I'll be joining MBBS this year and I'm wondering which one i should buy.

I can't go beyond 90k, I've begged to my limits.

I'm not looking for any kind of top notch experience in editing/animation/gaming/watching movies

I'll be using it for the sole purpose of note taking and PDFs like a good person.

I don't like styluses which need a type C charging, magnetic works for me well.

What I can't decide is whether I should go for an 11 inch or a 13 inch display

And whether i should go for 128 GB or 256 GB ??

So to the ones who are already using/bought it, what do you suggest?

And if there's already a post regarding this, kindly redirect me to that incase you feel like there's been more of these posts lately.

Thank you.

Query regarding AMU(JNMC) and it's US/UK alumni

hello everyone.
i will be joining MBBS this year and have a high chance of getting into JNMC. I want to know if it is a good place for USMLE/PLAB?
Is research supported here? What about alumni who are already in the US? Is the college supportive? What about ICMRSTS? Are there publications? Do professors/seniors guide you well enough?
Thanks it would be highly helpful if you could provide some info regarding this?
(sorry if the title ain't that great/explanatory, i couldn't think of anything tbh)

CAPFIMS-AIIMS?? Thoughts?

CAPFIMS-AIIMS is quite new yet people are still prefering it over good reputed medical colleges. Is it worth it? Anyone has any useful info regarding it?

KGMU VS GMCH

Hey everyone!

Yeah so the title pretty much sums it up.

Little context here: I'm at 70:30 with USMLE: neetPG

Now idk if I should prefer GMCH because of VSLO or stay with KGMU in UP.

I've heard KGMU has good research opportunities and publications. I've not heard too much about GMCH in that context tho. However GMCH does not have a bond which will be helpful if I do decide upon USMLE later.

I was wondering if maybe you could provide some insight regarding what I should prefer and why.

Is VSLO that important?

Is KGMU really that good?

What am I told i with the 2 year bond if I choose KGMU and decide upon USMLE 100%?

I'm so confused here tbh.

Help needed

Hello everyone.

May I know any websites/YouTube channels that helped you gather more information about USMLE and related topics?

I'm very new to this and there's a lot of stuff that still doesn't make sense to me. I have watched a lot of videos and there's always some terms in them that I don't quite understand. I'm also actively taking help of ChatGPT.

Is there a place I could ask really dumb questions lol?
